Yeah, this is one of the few movies that stuck with me. So much so, that me and my wife both call McDonald's, Kroc's now. It's funny, the movie starts off as propaganda and by the end, we were like WTF? Movie took a massive turn on us. But, I feel as though, people like Kroc make the world turn round. Business is business at the end of the day.

Late, but just watched this on recommendation, and I was curious on the Coli's thoughts, can't say I'm surprised. This movie will serve as a great barometer to see what type of person some is, this along with Wolf Of Wall Street provides great insight in casual conversation about if someone has my paradigm, which in turn will allow me to divulge or conceal myself (thoughts, feelings, etc) in said person's presence. Notes on posters opinions of the film/story in this thread taken.

This is how it works though. He gave them a cheque and took off with their shyt. Happens all the time, it's just companies don't get as big as McDonald's. He was right about franchising and if those brothers weren't so bad business wise, they would have given him a better cut (dude was getting 1.5% and asked for 4) they would have been billionaires or at least been at a better position financially where they could tell him to kick rocks when he tried to crush the buildings.

He's the type of dude who didn't mind being annoying. As he said, he was persistent. Persistent people tend to make it in the end. Took that one dude's wife right up in front of him.

Was he a dikk? I guess so, but he was close to financial ruin. He did what he could. Asked for a bigger cut, they said no...so he came for their necks. Business is cruel.
