The Fix is a 7/10 album at best, and it's high time we acknowledge this

It's a good album but not a 5 mic'er and barely cracking the top 5 of his career. More than anything Face needs his props for an album of this caliber to not even be a top 3. shyt I was just bumping that Mr. Scarface is Back and that shyt still goes. The fact that is made in 91 is nuts the way he was spitting.

Album is front loaded...first few tracks are very good. Back half is a snooze fest.

I remember when it first dropped even cats on SOHH were trying hard as fukk to push the classic narrative like it was Face's version of The Blueprint. Now pretty much no one ever discusses the album. Time always tells with classic music.

I'd have to listen to the 2nd half of the album again, but I remember not being too mad at the 5 mics back in the moment when it happened. I thought it was a little bit liberal but I didn't think it was totally ridiculous either. In hindsight it's probably a very solid 4-4.5 mic album, but not a 5. Again I'd have to listen again.

At the time it also seemed like The Source was trying to make up for some previously underrated albums by ranking newer albums by those artists a little bit higher.v

How many mics you feel it deserved?

The source should have regional mic reviews and have the consumer understand as such...

Like if you feel the fix is worth 4 mics, you would have to look at the other albums that the source gave 4 mics to and debate that...and vice versa

I think the source gave the great depression 4 mics and it was at best 3.5 mics....and that's being GENEROUS
