If anything it might be a tad overrated.

The sequels were trash. The og did some cool things nothing too clever but enuf to give it praise for going the satire slasher route while keeping some brutal violence. Its not on my favorite horror list not even close but its an entertaining movie.

It was a classic then, now, and forever! It's the quintessentiall slasher flick for us 90s kids:blessed:

Movies don't create psychos, movies make psychos more creative:youngsabo:

The real underrated Scream movie is 2. I don't get how this got shytted on, when you had the

killer opening of Stab really happening to Jada and Omar character's slashed and gutted in the

theatre. Those folks were mad amp, they didn't even know Ghostface was in the building for real:pachaha:

Damn I didn't realize everyone here was so young.

I graduated in '95. The movie was huge. Even them killing Drew Barrymore was a shout out to "Psycho", which also marketed Janet Leigh as the star and main character but killed her off in the middle of the movie.

That beginning scene is so grizzly, I'm high as fukk and felt like I could feel the stabs drew Barrymore was taking to her titty meats. I was in middle school when it first came out.

Edit: I thought it came out in 2001 for some reason shyt came out when I was 6 years old. I don't think I saw it until I was 11 though
:dead: this nikka and his "titty meats"

Yeah but scream is a classic. It revived the genre and gave us a new franchise to ride into the 2000's because we were stil riding the nightmare on elm, Friday the 13th, hellraiser, and Halloween franchises that had gotten stale...

I was in 3rd grade when it came out and I specifically remember my older sister renting it and I was shocked that Drew Barrymore got murked off top. She was on the movie poster so I though she was a main character
