Rewatching this joint right now, in retrospect this movie is flawlessly done imo. The most interesting aspect is that it makes fun of the genre stereotypes without ever losing its dark horror tone. shyt is legit scary too, I remember this movie having me so shook as a youngin. I don't see many people talk about it much and I've asked friends if they've seen it and most say no. Drew barrymores performance at the beginning was great.

That beginning scene is so grizzly, I'm high as fukk and felt like I could feel the stabs drew Barrymore was taking to her titty meats. I was in middle school when it first came out.

Edit: I thought it came out in 2001 for some reason shyt came out when I was 6 years old. I don't think I saw it until I was 11 though

Must be a younger dude, cause...

Man, no joke. shyt was a movement when it dropped to us high school kids at the time.
That shyt was HUGE in high school. It's pretty much the only scary movie I remember everybody seeing at the time. I don't even really remember any other horro flicks when I was in high school.

Hell
It was dope how they did the whole "rules to survive a horror movie" shyt

& it was also dope how the killer was one of them

Everything else about it was a stereotypical slasher flick but how much can you really deviate from the formula :manny:

Yep, it's definitely a film that belongs in my horror film or teen movie Blu-ray collection.

I think this was the first real horror film I sat down & watched. And I'm thankful for that because the pop culture references to other Horror films & film series, introduced me & got me interested in watching "Halloween", "Friday the 13th", "Nightmare on Elm Street", & other Horror film series.
