I would :salute:

nikkas be salty as fukk that reality tv exists. :mjlol: But like you are showing it's a lot of diverse and good programming. Use to watch Amazing Race religiously, might have to get back into it since i see a new season just started...never was into Survivor like that...HGTV definitely has a lot of decent programs, watching Egypt Sherrod's thick sexy ass on Property Virgins :noah: Caribbean Life, Island Life, Beachfront Bargain Hunt, etc... Still love Big Brother when it's on, Real Housewives of Atlanta too...is First 48 considered reality tv cuz i watch that religiously too.

:leostare:Yea breh, there's def something for everyone at this point. a lot of these guys are afraid to admit on an open forum they watch reality tv.
It is what it is though. :yeshrug:the numbers speak for itself.
My girl wont stop talking about Kardashians coming on tonight.
Or just tv for people who like good writing and aspire to be that

:ufdup:Everyone that stans Mad Men always fails to explain what the show is even about.
Good writing should have a good story.:manny:

Here you go breh:

Mad Men on the surface is about ad men in the 60s and the ups and downs that come with their lifestyles and their jobs. Those lifestyles include being married, ex wives, divorces, kids, alcohol and infidelity. It's chronicled this particular group of professionals all through the 60s and now that the show is ending, it's going to end in the 70s. Focusing on its main character of Don Draper and his life, which has involved being married with three kids, while not being able to keep his pants up and has cheated on his wife numerous times. He's got issues with infidelity and issues with his past and coming to grips with it. The metaphor is that a guy who's made a living off of selling people dreams and selling them realities has also been selling people a dream and a false reality of his own life. Don Draper is an illusion, something he created.

Underneath the surface, the show is a chronicle of america through the 60s: women's rights, civil rights, the moon landing, the kennedy assassination, etc and how the country evolved all throughout the 60s and how that evolution impacted the world of advertisement as well. Earlier in the shows run they treated women a very different way than they treat them now as the show is coming to an end, along with african americans as well. When the show first started, it was acceptable for Don, Roger and others to just drink as much as they wanted in their offices but as the series has gone on, it's become less acceptable just as it did in real life. There are layers to the show with every character. The main idea, at least for me, is that they can sell the world on a vision and a way of life but can't get their personal lives to match the vision and ideals they have for it. They're all flawed characters and have done some wrong things to achieve success in their business, even prostituting a woman out for a client

If you want to follow a show about compelling characters, one that chronicles the ups and downs of the american journey through the decade of the 60s along with great writing, then mad men is the show for you

BCS is starting off with an already huge BB fan base. And it's the same creator as BB so everything is pretty much already set for it to succeed. It was renewed before they even aired an episode.

I didn't think so many people were gonna put it number 1 or 2 on their list breh. In hindsight maybe I could have had a rule no shows still airing the first season.

Black-ish got more votes than Modern Family:snoop:
:ohlawd:Black Jesus didn't get one vote.

I also think anthologies are a different animal, too. First seasons of True Detective and Fargo were great...But I need to see more, especially since they're both starting from scratch.

as much as I enjoy how real Mad Men is in portraying that world, I cant believe it made top ten. (plus, it isnt over right? how can it make that list?)

other than that, I think the list is right on point. All those shows in one way or another should be in the top ten.
