So I'm reading It by Stephen King. Near the end. "The Ritual of Chud" is the chapter. This book is probably the scariest thing I've ever read. At least top 3. I haven't seen the movie, but I doubt it can even compare. I'm nearing the end, and I've got all the lights on in my apartment. I'm shook right now lmao

I had to go digging to find a book thread. This should be stickied, just my two cents. :yeshrug:

Anyway, I just finished Inferno by Dan Brown. It was decent, but definitely not on par with the other books in the Robert Langdon series. Some of it gets kinda repetitive. And some of the historical/architectural references are overly descriptive, which gets a little annoying...almost comes off as snobby. Worth the read though.

Anybody read 11/22/63 by Stephen King?

shyt looked interesting, just have to find time to read it...thinking about copping it this weekend actually....or finding a link would work too...

One of the best books I've ever read. Honestly, I wish I could unread it and then read it again without knowing what happens. Once you get to about the halfway point, you can't put it down.

Has anyone read Divergent and Insurgent by Veronica Roth? They're making a movie out of Divergent. These books are piff! I liked Insurgent alot better because it was a lot
of action. Awesome series can't wait for the third joint. Starting on The Mortal instruments series next

you nikkas have got to read this shyt, its in a stupid/childish kind of tone but if you're into like myths and gods and shyts- its pretty damn hilarious

So one night Uranus is about to get busy with Gaia again
I guess so he can father another baby and then stuff it back into her
but instead of getting sex he gets a SURPRISE PENISECTOMY
Cronus all jumping out from behind a rock like “HAHA, GOT YOUR dikk, DAD.”
Which is something no son should ever have to say to his father.
Then Uranus’s dikk falls into the ocean
and makes a whole ton of foam
and that is where Aphrodite comes from eventually
from dikk foam.
You know that painting with her standing on the shell with all the angels and stuff?
dikk foam.
All of it.

Mustard if needed :mjpls:

Okay. shyt. Gotta update. I just finished this book

The-Mount-A-Novel-Carol-Emshwiller-18-med-e1341800453892.jpg

Such a different book, but I've been wanting to read it for a while, never found the torrent, and finally gave in and bought the ebook on Amazon. It was a good read. Didn't go as far with the concept as I thought it would, but it was a fun quick read.
Charley is an athlete. He wants to be painted crossing the finish line, in his racing silks, with a medal around his neck. But Charley isn't a runner. He is a human mount, the property of one of the alien invaders called Hoots. Charley hasn't seen his mother in years, and his father is hiding out in the mountains with the other Free Humans. The Hoots own the world, but the humans want it back. Charley knows how to be a good mount-now he's going to have to learn how to be a human being. This remarkable novel, winner of the 2002 Philip K. dikk Award, should be read by every fan of speculative fiction, teenagers and adults alike.

Currently reading this:

I've been reading a lot lately. Trying to take down classic sci-fi stuff like American Gods and Snow Crash. shyts living up to the hype so far.
