A dude car jacked my momma at gun point a couple years ago...stole her car and left her stranded with no money or phone. She had to walk like 20 mins to a convenience store to call the police and my lil brother

I have ZERO sympathy for muthafukkas that carjack....that shyt is personal to me. Let em rot in jail forever :yeshrug:

Brooklyn keeps on taking it.
Then 20 years from now nikkas gonna get selective amnesia and when an inmate's record is reviewed and folks see he got life for a carjacking, nikkas gonna cry that that's excessive and racist and cancel all the white people who supported more punitive measures to stop the carjackings now and the black people who supported it are going to be c00ns and kopmalas.

And then m'fers gonna have to apologize.

Thank god for the tech area to stop the future amnesia

It seems nobody actually read the federal statute...

Whoever, with intent to cause death or serious bodily harm takes a motor vehicle that has been transported, shipped, or received in interstate or foreign commerce from the person or presence of another by force and violence or by intimidation, or attempts to do so, shall (1) be fined under this title or imprisoned not more than 15 years or both, (2) if serious bodily injury results, be fined under this title or imprisoned not more than 25 years, or both, and (3) if death results, be fined under this title or imprisoned for any number of years up to life, or both or sentenced to death (emphasis added to highlight the 1994 changes to the statute).

Life imprisonment is only eligible if someone gets killed. If there is no bodily injury, 15 years is the max. So in @beaniemac case they wouldn't get more than 25

Also this is not a new law or a new "crime bill" preview. This is the law as amended in 1994 just being enforced more by the Feds rather than local law enforcement.

crime bill joe coming in clutch

:stopitslime:

How about don't commit violent crimes? With all the legal hustles you can do in crypto, stocks etc. I have no sympathy for anyone who catches football numbers for carjacking

How you think we got the 94 Crime Bill? The same one Bill Clinton apologized for signing?
