For some reason i hate the term "protective style"
Why you always focusing on the negative?

Why? They're very important. If you don't protect your hair, It'll be hard to have long healthy hair.
Weave isn't protecting your hair brehette, all that traction alopecia running rampant and causing the "egghead" look and talk of "edges" is proof enough.
what is traction alopecia?
i'll calm down when just one of you admit weave is tied to self hate, and that black women hate natural hair more than anyone else
but protective style
Basically thinning of the hair and receding of the hairline, whether by pulling your hair back too tight in ponytails, wearing weaves or braids.

Yes weave can cause that (so can combing, brushing, braids, hats, scarves etc) but if you install your weave correctly, it won't happen. and the weave isn't protecting my hair it's a hairstyle that doesn't require me to manipulate my hair because too much manipulation = breakage.

is this what protective styles lead to..
