Black women in this thread been like "No I do not, I'm natural, I only wear weaves occasionally tho "

No you don't have black men saying "this is how we view our women" you guys are saying "you hate yourselves because you wear weave" "you wish you were white because you wear weave" "you hate your hair" you guys are telling us how we feel about ourselves as if you know how each and every black woman feels about their hair. and we come tell you guys that we don't feel that way and it's not that deep...then you guys start talking bad about us and calling us hood boogers and bytches and then you act shocked when become defensive.

The only dude in this thread that I think actually cares about what black women do(not just wants to complain about/insult us) is @Emperor Sol . Notice no one became defensive with him? He told us how he felt and we replied and told him that we wear our natural hair. Then he left.

Why don't you just listen to us? we are the men. No way you should talk back to a man. This shouldn't even be question, smh.

That was my point. When a lot of people are agreeing with eachother then it gives them this false sense of victory. It's not the truth, it's what you believe and because you have many others agreeing with you, you think you're right.

I don't think the women and men in this thread completely disagree. It's just the men here don't see shades of grey--everything is black and white. No one is saying weaves are wonderful, but unless you are a female who has dealt with the complexities of having natural hair in a society with eurocentric beauty standards, then you don't have the right to condemn women for wearing weaves.

I do appreciate that you guys like natural women though. Why don't you all focus on lifting the self-esteem of natural women, rather than being so quick to jump on women who wear weaves?

What you're saying here is that Asian men would not like their women if they tried to emulate another race (Black women). But that's not the issue at hand. The issue (as you all have stated it) is that Black women are trying to emulate WHITE WOMEN. Asian women already do this. The White standard of beauty is VERY pervasive, all around the world. If you were truly "concerned" about Black women, then you would acknowledge that struggle--and note that it is not only Black women who have fallen victim to this mentality instead of making up hypotheticals that have nothing to do with anything.

Honestly though, I just want to bring some positivity to this thread and show that everyone in here has things they agree on! This is an interesting an important topic but it always goes sideways on here and turns into angry name calling.

They're denying that influence of the European beauty standards. claiming it has nothing to do with self hate. If your sub consciously chasing a beauty standard that isn't your race then in conjunction you'd have to hate features of your own race.

There is an appreciation thread on natural women, this one isn't.
