The fact Killer Mike's rules of how Black America can save itself is actually controversial speaks volumes.

What he said in the clip is definitely part of the solution. I don’t understand how people can disagree. Definitely not the complete solution. What are the other steps that can close the wealth gap?

I believe his heart is in the right place but the fact of the matter is that the government has to change first. Black capital has always been stopped or limited by white supremacy.
Black capitalism isn't the answer, imo. Their is a reason why nearly all, if not all, black revolutionaries and civil rights activists from back in the day fought for socialism whether they said it directly or not

I saw F.D Signifier talking about this, and I disagreed with his take about calling this "pick yourself up by your bootstraps" talk.

Yeah capitalism sucks, but a Socialist Revolution is not happening tomorrow. The next Vladimir Lenin is not emerging any time soon. Black people have to exist and find ways to live comfortably in the society and economic system they currently live in right now.

Saying things like black people need to go to school, learn skills that are valuable to the market, live below their means, and find alternative streams of revenue is not simping for capitalism, but just the basis for what should be the standard in black households, because we're at the bottom of society economically. We can figure out the rest simultaneously or later.

How in the fukk are so many people disagreeing? It’s common fukking sense. It’s crazy how those of us that did almost everything Mike said are doing damn well in life; white supremacy, hold us back this and that, won’t let black people get ahead, blah fukkin blah…we are doing just fine.

Not that we wouldn’t be doing better if shyt was fair, but we have too many resources to make an excuse on why we aren’t doing well. You can teach yourself anything at any time with the internet to increase your skills and make money in so many ways so there is just no excuse.

You think ima sit around waiting for these people to give out reparations? Maybe my great grandkids will get it but for now, ima keep doing what I been doing and excelling like I always have. If I hit a roadblock, I learn something else and take a different route.

What are people mad at?:gucci:

Of course, it won't fix everything, but it would help the poorest of us gain a higher quality of life, dude called this 'nonsense'.

Capitalism won't save us, but it sure would help in the meantime:heh: I'm far from a capitalist, but the reality of the situation is people need some semblance of upward mobility before they can change anything long term in this country.
