This isn't true though. Artists do get money from streams, there was a thread on Young Chop discussing how Chief keef gets money from streams. How much is a different story but they do get paid

dude..Soundcloud JUST started that streaming service this year.....and the ONLY artists entitled to it are those with LABEL DEALS by INVITE only.....

And being that CHIEF KEEF got dropped.....their goes what little streaming revenue he has bruh.....that's INTERSCOPE's dinner plate :manny:

they just like VEVO are only encouraging ventures with distributors......the indys are not benifiting from this....

Soundcloud did this to save itself from cease and desist letters by the industry.....just like youtube...they had to cut a deal with the majors to have that content...

the indys don't have that leverage

if you don't believe me...read Soundcloud's "partner" program ..and how it ONLY benefit big name artists

look at who is entitled to revenues and WHO ISN'T :mjpls:

I believe the majority of the people who defend the labels on this site. Probably work for labels or use to

:patrice: I am beginning to wonder that as well...its amazing how some of these posters could defend a deal which is so lopsided in terms of favoring the label...

they got to be a bunch of pro-corporate music industry pundits

The Deep State
Video: “Baby”

Artist: Justin Bieber

Plays to date: 835,174,296

Estimated royalties to date: $1,854,086.94 – $2,087,935.74

:whew:

But then again the article said the musician only receives 5% of that.

I'd rather the majors have official videos with reliable quality than leave it up to people to post recorded MTV/BET footage

like why is this only available in 240p

because the person who ripped the video and reuploaded it to youtube didnt render it in 1080p.. Thats Julian Jones fault (the owner of that channel which you are watching that video on), not youtubes fault..

The person who they keep ripping it from(I noticed the top 2 search results for this video are both in 240p, so thats who they are ripping it from), uploaded it in 240p as well. If someone had the ORIGINAL original video, they could upload it in 1080p. None of this is youtubes fault.

for instance, heres a 360p version

long story short, Julian Jones and the other versions in 240p are just copying each other and using the video to get cheap views on their channel and could give a fukk less about the quality of the videos.

Again, not youtubes fault.

edit: heres a 720p HD version

Be a dumb fukking fakkit horrible poster from day 1 and get mad when someone trys to inform your bytch ass about how youtube works, because you CLEARLY didnt know how it worked before I posted that brehs

you're a fukking dumbass

get some reading comprehension

how u posting the original We Fly High

:laff: from day 1? you been watching me
who the fukk are you

sohh you think we can go back to the days where labels didn't put out the video via iTunes or YouTube and people just upload MTV rips, and it'll be the same quality just cuz it's at the same resolution at the end?

without even going into signal degrading (if you think every 1080p is the same clarity you're a fukking dumbass) you'd have BET/MTV plastered all over the shyt which looks wack

get the fukk outta here

and fukk the Bae Area
