Loved it in 2001 and love it more now

esp. understanding the world a lot more, sex and relationships, dating, how something like a publishing house functions, the subtler lines between Cruise and Diaz and Cruz and Cruise, it's a gorgeous movie all the way around. Also, funny, and an excellent Tom Cruise performance. Maybe his top 3.

Seeing this in 2001when I was in 10th grade was the reason why people should go to movies. I walked out of that movie just stunned, and the world looked different. Sounds funny and pretentious sure, but for that strip mall in East County San Diego to feel incredible is a testament to the power of movies.
