yall nikkas should jump on Hemlock Grove thats also a Netflix original series. if you ask me to compare it to another show my best comparison would be true blood 2.0 but darker, more graphic and very very trippy. i thoroughly enjoyed season 1

Netflix is going to crush the fukking building mark my words
Yep.. Netflix, Hulu and Crackle (don't laugh) original programming is gonna be the new wave.. Especially for binge watching.. TV is gonna be :flabbynsick: for the forseeable future...We got lucky that Breaking Bad and Mad Men both came on the tale of The Wire and Sopranos leaving in '07...Don't see anything on network or cable thats on deck to replace that level...But there is a reason that golden eras are golden..Eventually sh1t has to come back down to normalcy...

i wouldn't say golden age..i'd say age of VERY GOOD tv shows.. the highs arent as high as the past greatness.

homeland i worry about..it has the most potential to just fall off.. but i'm remaining optimistic

Most of the shows I named are new and only a season or 2 in, yall gotta give them time to grow

remember Breaking Bads 1st season was average at best

Out of all those shows I think Vikings will end up being the best but all of them except like 3 or 4 of them have potential to be top tier shows

Edit: and I agree with you about Homeland

I think they really fukked up Brodys storyline and the show could have a steep fall this season if they dont play it right

Have you seen the previews? Brody is Homeland. I called it and everyone was calling an idiot, just because I don't listen to podcasts or read interviews doesn't mean I'm not going to see the obvious.

Mad Men boring? Wow. Just, wow.

Mad Men is top 3 with The Wire and Sopranos.

I forgot about Rectify :lupe: That could be the next great anti-hero drama if it gets a decent run.

And the only reason I didn't bring up piff like GOT and Orphan Black is because those two shows are genre shows.

This thread is mostly about the lack of Tony Soprano, Don Draper, Al Swearengen, Vic Mackey, and Walter White type characters that we will lack moving forward.

The streets are fiending for the next great anti-hero :wow:

Vikings is weak. Homeland seems to be just repeating the same setup/payoffs over and over again. Testing my patience. Gave up on it. Ray Donovan is way too outlandish to even take seriously. Ditto with Justified.

Cant say much about the rest. Don't have that much time for television.
