coli stay w the takes that no one has in real life......these dudes flipped their popularity into a promotion and ya talking about ending it.
you got it.
Dunno about the Bucks, but Omega supposedly has some nagging injuries that he's been going through over the past couple months.
I swear one of the Bucks hurt their knee pretty bad according to the dirt sheets during their feud with FTR, but they haven't taken any significant time off since then & it doesn't appear they're hurt either.
Going to guess by the end of Full Gear, Bucks & Omega both stay off TV for a little bit to recover. I'm not sold on the Bucks losing this weekend; they lost to the Lucha Bros in 2019 at All Out in a ladder match so not really anticipating the Bucks losing this time around (they need to though given the staleness of AEW's rankings).

They never had a plan with "the forbidden door". They only did it because "WWE doesn't work with other companies". People on here thought they were going to get some kind interpromotional mega-card where the AEW title, NJPW title, Impact Title, ROH title, etc...would all be defended in one night. All we've seen is Kenny Omega attempt to copy that Ultimo Dragon shyt. Nobody has been elevated behind this Forbidden door shyt. At one point TSC nikkas had abandoned that forbidden door thread until i trollingly upped it. All we've seen in bum ass Juice Robinson and Finlay in impact and a match here and there with a NJ guy. And oddly enough NJPW has done more shyt in Impact than AEW. They clearly had no real plan behind the shyt. How do you botch a BC reunion AND the Forbidden Door? I expected it to lead to that BC Elite vs. OG Style Bullet Club showdown people have been fantasy booking all this time. I don't mind Gallows and Anderson per se, but they are only going to be as good as their surroundings; they aren't elevating shyt. Also their corny humor is extra grating when the whole stable is just corny humor. On paper this looked like a layup but AEW airballed the shyt out of this. Didn't seem like they had any real plans beyond getting IMPACT's title on Omega's shoulder. Okay, now what? Realistically a cross promotional belt collector would have so many people on his head you'd have storylines for years. A guy from another company beat your champ and took the title home. And the IMPACT roster doesn't seem to give a damn.
Wouldn't be shocked if both Kenny and the Bucks take 3-4 month hiatutses to refresh their bodies and characters within the next year. I really enjoy the Elite's act, but it would help freshen up the top of the card (keep Cody away from the product as well...can't believe his name doesn't come up more in these AEW hate convos. If we're talking about over AEW guys that I just don't like, he's at the top of the list for me as long as he refuses to turn heel).
It's insane. AEW is by no means perfect (Thunder Rosa really needs to get the Women's belt quick, fast, in a hurry. Britt Baker's gimmick is great and all, but she's still a bad wrestler that needs to be plugged into good/great matches), but I'm rewatching some stuff from the last few months and I'm just not seeing the basis for these complaints. The Young Bucks's "worst hypebeast you know/mid-life crisis" gimmick is OVER as a heel act and, really, isn't too different from their PWG heel act. It's an ideal Young Bucks gimmick because it actually gets them to put over their characters more than their moves. The Elite in general is just about the only stable in the last 20 years to get the original heel DX formula correct, as they're actually credible heels the fans don't like despite (and even because of) their shytty comedy antics on top of the standard, more brutal heel tactics. It's like these people forgot how generating heat in wrestling works. Clearly, it's working for AEW, so saying they should stop it is ludicrous at best.
I don't care about Impact. It's a hugely overrated promotion on here and elsewhere simply because most people are comparing it to the absolute worst of TNA, and no one there should beat Kenny anyway (not Rich Swann, not Moose, not Eddie Edwards, etc...), so I don't really have a problem with how the belt is being handled, since it at least ended up in the hands of someone who could credibly drop it to an Impact wrestler without it looking stupid. Omega probably shouldn't have won in the first place, but if Impact were strip mined for its women's division and other talents tomorrow and shut down, nothing of real value would be lost. Nobody really needs a zombie promotion like that.
The stable complaint is stupid as well. Damn near everyone has a group of friends that they hang out with and who has their back in real life, why would this be different in wrestling? A bunch of factions/cliques/stables on a roster like AEW's just makes sense, especially when you consider the nature of the wrestling business (both in and out of kayfabe). It's never bothered me.
You know, maybe I just don't take wrestling that seriously anymore. As long as I'm getting a product I can believe in and have fun watching, I can overlook some flaws. And, again, AEW has flaws that need to be addressed (reffing is still ropey, Rick Knox in particular needs to be sent back to PWG, they really need to institute lucha tag rules so those matches make more sense despite still often being great, women's division still needs work despite real year-to-year improvement). But the booking makes sense in the long term, which creates trust (case in point: people complaining on the first page about the Inner Circle winning Stadium Stampede right after Blood and Guts stopped talking when MJF spent the last couple of months running Jericho's life, something I had faith would happen despite my similar confusion with that sequence of events, because of AEWA's past booking. Granted, I'd rather Sammy beat MJF at All Out than Jericho, but I can live with that result if it happens. MJF's gotten a lot out of the feud already) and the on-screen product is enjoyable...I didn't even really remember that a top wrestling promotion could be fun to watch since it hadn't happened in 20 years. It's as if WWE's terrible booking conditioned everybody to nitpick everything even when it doesn't make sense to do so, and what's worse, some of their ideas to "improve the product" are WWE-esque in their lack of basic sense for the promotion (people on here really want to put the Women's belt on Jade Cargill, who's a significantly worse worker than Britt Baker, and is even worse than Kamille in the NWA, a total stiff that I'm convinced people only like because she's tall, built, and white. Like, just stan Rhea Ripley if that's what you want. And they hold that sentiment despite their women's work level being one of the division's biggest problems).
It's the weirdest heel turn I've seen on here, which is really saying something.

It's far from perfect but it's entertaining that's all I ask for for I was in aew threads @ the young bucks up until this heel turn. Wasn't feeling them in njpw and wasn't feeling them here till the heel turn. They understand that they are wild punchable and goofballs and flipped it into the heel turn. That is what you are supposed to do, people complaining about the title runs were the same ones saying "why the bucks and Omega losing so much " when aew started.
Ain't no pleasing these dudes they should just keep doing what the doing, clearly it's working.
What's even funnier is these are the same dudes who sit through 3 hours of RAW on a weekly basis Even the youtube dudes who legit get paid to watch raw watch the shyt on ffw because it's so bad.
Dude, I just watched the Bucks/Mox and Kingston match from Double or Nothing, and Matt Jackson pulls out this spot where runs to Mox/Eddie's empty corner, gets the "tag" and starts making the most generic babyface "comeback" against Eddie you've ever seen. Brilliant and hilarious heel move a la the Bucks's handspring back rake, but everyone in the thread on here just shat on the match for reasons I just couldn't comprehend (and I have no problem shytting on a Bucks match when it's merited. That one was great, though). Don't even get me started on the bullshyt peddled on here about Mox either (somebody in that fukking thread actually tried to say he wasn't over right after Daily's Place treated him like Ulysses returning from his Odyssey).
That was the exact moment I knew I just wouldn't be able to understand what was going through some people's heads regarding AEW. I guess don't know what people on here want from wrestling.
they was fukkin the lucha bros upLol damn those kicks
