If you make the regular payments and invest extra in cash flow assets and or the market after 15-20 years you are headed to a good retirement AND you have good equity in your home

A good Cash flow/retirement account & equity in home = optimal …

Now you can have the investments start to pay down the mortgage while you keep funding the investments

Marriage is dying in advanced/modern societies.

It's a bad thing but it's happening.

You will have some happy few that will do well in their intimate and marriage life (Bless them!). At that point, divorce rate will stabilize and even dwindle for these people.

But for the vast majority, the future will be isolation and no stable family structure and all its consequences : in extreme cases, on the sex front, incelism for men and dikk trauma for women.
