Watched this on Netflix. It was decent but nothing great. 7/10, it had a few funny moments and the 2 leads were good but I dunno the story just didn't resonate with me. Movies about making movies/Hollywood just come off self-indulgent. I never saw or have any desire to see The Room so maybe that's part of it.

The main problem with this movie was the story like you said.

They tried to make it about friendship and following your dreams. :francis:

There's a good movie in there somewhere and a few good laughs. Franco was off and on with his impersonation of Wiseau. Idk, just kind one of those "let's make a movie about whatever we want cuz we can!".

Good point, I think it is a case where Hollywood types like or are intrigued by what Wiseau did but are thoughtless how it would come off to the general public.

Right. And trying recreate what can't be. Hard to make a good movie about a bad movie and show why it ended up becoming an internet cult classic. Or whatever it is. I never heard of the movie until I saw a clip of it on youtube. Still never watched it all the way through.
