and honestly, what ability would they have to prevent that association? One does the work, puts it out and hope it is used for progress. they can't help who uses it for towards what ends right?

The idea that somehow black men are co-patriarchs along with white men is a failing of intersectionality and fails the observable reality test. Black men are explicitly targeted under white patriarchy and alot of intersectionality/black feminism has adopted a white racialized frame when it comes to black men. Black brutes, good for the occasional nut and as attack dogs against other black men, but wild, dangerous savages otherwise who need to be brought to heel. And these ideas are filtered from the academy all the way down to social media. Which is how you get a black men are the white people of black people smooth brain take.

He actually is a supporter of the theory as originally laid out by Bell. Bell's CRT is a condemnation of the entire liberal project in regards of its failures to eliminate antiblack discrimination. Bell was an OG afro pessimist who eventually came to realize that white racism is intractable and permanent, and that perhaps Brown v Board was incorrectly decided by using integration as a remedy to racsim.
That perhaps, equal funding was a better remedy than putting black children in schools with people that hated them. And that integration should have been a last resort trigger mechanism in case black school funding was not equalized to white schools. Curry says that CRT has been hijacked not only by white liberals but also intersectionalists who interpret CRT as a critique on the white liberal project of integrationism and not as a whole sale condemnation. Kimberly Crenshaw had an MSNBC (Mrs. Intersectionality herself) interview with ignorant white parents about CRT in which she falsely presented CRT as a patriotic critique of American racism. Nothing could be further from the truth. CRT is a legal theory that presupposes the permanent and ever shifting presence of racism and the best that blacks could hope for in ameliorating white racism would be to have strong legal protections, if at all possible.
I remember seeing a tik tok about a black women talking about “if I somehow have a baby with a black man and it comes out a boy, I am aborting and I’m ngl when I read the comment section seeing thousands of black women agreeing and non black women “sympathizing” I felt like tearing up man and then when someone relataliates they just come up with the excuse that black men are violent and I kid you not some of the comments where grown women talking about regretting giving birth to a black son

The older I get the more unproductive I realize these talks are. If ownership and group economics isn't in the discussion, it's all talks we have heard before. Race is a problem because black wealth is minimal this country.
