The problem with James Franco is that he plays TWO roles, that shyt is so fukking stupid.
As for this season, the 6 year time jump is interesting. The sleazy porn producer lost made weight, Abby still looks way younger than she actually is, Maggie Gylenhaal looks better than before with that hairdo. They're at the apex of the disco era more or less so that's interesting.
I'm curious where they film this, the part that was supposed to be off 42nd street looks like it's somewhere in the West Bronx like Fordham maybe.

Oh and I miss that Curtis Mayfield "THE BLACKS AND THE CRACKERS" intro, but I understand that the music is supposed to be contemporary to the story so they went with some late 70s stuff instead for this season

I remember him starring that show called Numbers and he was at a normal weight. Seeing him so fat on this show was a surprise to me. Maybe he just didn't want to look like he was wearing a fatsuit

First ep was cool. This is just a different show. The drama is secondary to the scenery, dialogue and overall mood. What's actually happening is really not that compelling.
