When women stop caring about what is expected of us and how others will perceive us if we're still single and childless at a certain age then the desperation for marriage would decrease.

That desperation leads to settling which can lead to unhappiness and then the inevitable divorce.


Personally, I'm looking forward to my 30's without marriage and children. They will be about making myself happy and not living for other people.

Just a guess but by the time your woman fits that description you will not be looking to good yourself. What people have f'ed up about marriage is that you are suppose to get married because you love the person you married so that when looks have faded you still enjoy them being around.

Looks aren't going to cook you dinner every night, looks aren't going to clean your dirty clothes, and looks aren't going to be sitting by your death bed holding your hand and telling you about the good old times.
