The DNC is grossly out of touch :heh:
Imagine objectively looking at their position and still feeling like their message/positions, didnt need to be adjusted or scrapped altogether:mindblown:

Yet what im hearing is Dems need to play hard ball, double down, get tougher and stop compromising :mjlol:

Panic time: Democratic cash swamps House Republicans

The latest round of fundraising figures have been released, and the results are grim for Republicans.

Is it time for Republicans to start freaking out?

More than 40 House Republican incumbents were outraised in the final quarter of 2017 by one — or several — of their Democratic opponents, according to the latest round of fundraising numbers. And of that group, more than a dozen had less cash on hand than their Democratic challengers.

For the GOP, here’s the really disturbing part: The trendline is getting worse, not better. Despite the myriad advantages of incumbency and control of Congress, there are more House members with less cash on hand than their Democratic challengers than the quarter before.

A lot of Dems are turned off by the DNC for a variety of reasons. So individual candidates are getting direct donations... some candidates have been ignored by the DNC or the DCCC.

The central committees and the consultant class have become parasites during the Obama era with the big money that was raised.

The grassroots is energized, there's no doubt about it. Small donors in great quantities is the name of the game. Obama did in 2008. Bernie did it in 2016.

It’s because of Thinking Progress and Act Blue that has put me in touch with so many candidates around the country.

House Dems set February fundraising record

The House Democratic campaign arm raised almost $10.6 million in February, an impressive haul as the party committee stockpiles cash while targeting the GOP's majority in the chamber.

The Democratic Congressional Campaign Committee (DCCC) said Monday in a press release that more than $3 million of that sum came from online fundraising, an important tool that helps engage grassroots donors, who typically give in smaller amounts. The figure for last month is also the most the party has ever raised in a February and a significant increase from the $7.1 million it raised in February 2016.

The fundraising brings the party to more than $49 million on hand for upcoming races.

Not sure why this is breaking news? The Democrtic party has always struggled money wise without a machine in the form of a powerful presidential candidate.

When Bill Clinton left, Obama left and Hillary left something was required to fill the vacuum, as their respective machines pretty much bankrolled the DNC. It's not about Bernie vs Hillary like some people would like to argue upwards of the thread.

What the DNC should have done was listen to Howard Dean and put resources into developing a 50 state strategy that would allow for organic, continuous growth. It sometimes feels like they lurch from general election to general election with no clear plan.
