How ironic they make this a make or break year with 2K football game coming out this year
Ironically Ryan Moody said it probably just be folks on the development team getting fired and it'll be as they were.

I mean you possibly have the 2k game and you have Maximum Football 2023 coming out for PC next month with consoles version being released this fall.

You really listened to the soundtrack?

i've had them on mute since Daunte Culpepper was on the cover...even though the intro with Ludacris was :whoo:

Imagine any nfl product advertising hard hits and hitting qb nowadays :heh:

That intro was so fire I can rap it word for word off the top right now.

Typical EA Sports shyt. They ruined FIFA too :yeshrug:

2K can fukk off too, they're even worse.

Microtransactions and ultimate team modes ruined sports games.
This. Microtransactions and p2w have also ruined other genres too. I mean I get the devs sometimes cuz sixty bucks really ain't what it used to be and engineers salaries are large, but there's gotta be some middle ground instead of making an endless cash cow. At least if you finna go that route make the game free to play.

One of these days ya'll gonna stop listening to YouTubers and ppl on Reddit and learn economics.

Video games are the biggest entertainment medium on Earth. Shareholders DO NOT invest in companies for anything else but growth.

Video games will continue to find new ways to monotize, especially as they target the mobile game market more.

Lol.
I don't have to listen to people on YouTube to know microtransactions are ass

I've spent a lot of my childhood in the 90s playing games on a pc when it was seen as a nerd thing to do.

I know what games can be like, I hate pay to win garbage

Streamlining, monetizing (lol at monotizing) everything and casualizing gaming is the worst thing that happened to it.

I know economics,I know capitalism and I know greed.
If you do anything with money as a sole goal you're going to end up with soulless games that create problems on purpose to make you pay money for solutions. It's stupid.

Moreover in the same post I said at least make it free to play if you gonna monetize everything. That's a model of many games nowadays with p2w, gatcha and micros. Madden still charges full price every year.

Not saying microtransactions are good. They have a huge market.

EA's revenue is damn near mostly coming from microtranactions...ya'll want them to stop making money?

You mean when we were going to arcades and had to buy 4 controllers and drag our system and all our games to play with our friends?

I'm 30+, too, brehs, times have changed

The video game industry almost crashed out in those times

Streamlining, monetizing (lol at monotizing) everything and casualizing gaming is the worst thing that happened to it.
And also made gaming the biggest entertainment market on the planet

I know economics,I know capitalism and I know greed.

Souless games...that make billions

Again, I'm not saying any of this stuff is good, but, unfortunately you didn't bring up the fact people want this and say so with their money

It's easy to speak to the "Greed" of "evil" corporations and how "endless monotization" is "casualizing" gaming. But, If I gave you 30 mins with a gamin executive, you gonna tell him his billiosn for his shareholders is too much?

Moreover in the same post I said at least make it free to play if you gonna monetize everything. That's a model of many games nowadays with p2w, gatcha and micros. Madden still charges full price every year.

Rather than this being the case of some trend overcoming another anomaly, or vice versa, I think the truth is a story that both combine to tell: Madden NFL 21 is a piecemeal update lacking a centerpiece mode, and it sells like gangbusters because it pleases its fans.

:beli: Breh, I get it, I fukking hate 2k. But, I'm also not under some illusion some "gaming utopia" is on the way.

I just play a couple of hours of the bullshyt, then go back to my backlog and older games.

This is gaming, now :yeshrug:
