Say what you will about the DC live flicks... but thanks to Snyder they will have better fight scenes then marvel..
Had two powerful villains (Zod & crew and Doomsday) that until Thanos, MCU wasn't seeing either. :mjpls:

As shown time and time again with DC animation, DC has the material to do great things.

Just gotta get the right people to properly display it in live-action, like they do in animation.

This was solid. I'm looking forward to seeing Part 2. The death and return of Superman saga brings back a wave of nostalgia for me.

There's a featurette about the sequel on the disc and one of the WB animation execs basically admits they fukked up with Superman: Doomsday from 2007. :heh:

Guys, I love all the movies that fall in this "Justice League: War" continuity, but I fukking HATE Jason O'Mara as Batman. This dude's voice just has 0 fukking bass. I understand Kevin Conroy isn't going to be Batman in every piece of DC animation...but could we at least get the dude from Under the Red Hood or Year One? Seriously.

Bruce Greenwood, he voices Batman for Young Justice.

Death of Superman and Reign of the Supermen Are Heading To Theaters
The Death of Superman storyline hasn’t had the best luck at the multiplex. A direct adaptation of the comic couldn’t get off the ground in the ‘90s under Tim Burton’s leadership. And in 2016, its translation in Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice was met with a collective thumbs down from fans. Nevertheless, Warner Bros. is hoping its animated interpretation fares better. Via ComicBook.com, Fathom Events is partnering with the studio for a double-feature screening of this year’s The Death of Superman and its upcoming follow-up, Reign of the Supermen.

The Death of Superman was released on DVD and Blu-ray last summer. Jerry O’Connell starred as Clark Kent and his famous alter ego. Rebecca Romijn co-starred as Lois Lane, with Rainn Wilson as Lex Luthor. The film faithfully adapted the Man of Steel’s fatal showdown with Doomsday and ends on a cliffhanger teasing his eventual resurrection. Reign of the Superman picks up where that film left off and features most of the cast members from the previous installment. It introduces the string of copycat “heroes” that show up in Clark’s absence, including Steel, Eradicator, and Superboy.

“Warner Bros. is proud to join forces with Fathom Events to culminate the year-long celebration of Superman’s 80th anniversary with a double-feature big screen presentation of the Man of Steel’s most heralded adventure,” said Mary Ellen Thomas, Warner Bros. Home Entertainment Vice President, Family & Animation Marketing. “The Death of Superman was a monumental moment in comics history, and these films – expertly produced by Warner Bros. Animation and DC – capture the enormity of that story in terms of both action and emotion. Seeing both films, on the big screen, gives the fans another vehicle to unite and celebrate this beloved superhero and this landmark tale.”

The screenings will take place on January 13 and 14, 2019. They will also mark the world premiere of Reign of the Supermen ahead of its digital release on January 15. Fans who want to buy it on Blu-ray or DVD will have to wait until January 29.

The Death of Superman
An Asteroid hurtles through our atmosphere and with it arrives an unstoppable force known only as Doomsday. With innocent lives threatened and Metropolis under attack, the Justice League rally to meet this otherwordly menace. But when the dust settles, only an epic showdown between superman and Doomsday can decide the fate of the Metropolis and ultimately, planet Earth!

Reign of the Supermen
It's been months since the unfathomable death of Superman, and the world is still shaken when four Super Heroes arrive in Metropolis, all battling to be the reincarnation of the Man of Steel. Even Metropolis isn't big enough for these brawlers, it's only a matter of time until dark forces make their moves from the shadows...

Just watched this....
This was better than any DCEU movie (which is the norm). It's so damn frustrating that they can't get these movies right and even more irritating when they pretty much make the exact movie as an animated one that's leaps and bounds better (Hell to Pay> Suicide Squad and now DOS animated>BVS)
Everyone involved in the movie department needs to be fired.
