The Bay Area
Stark is responsible for since bendis' run:
  • The avengers breaking up
  • aunt may dying
  • black goliath dying
  • captain america dying
  • the betrayal of Hulk
  • world war hulk
  • reed being captured by skrulls
  • black bolt being weaponized by skrulls
  • osborne getting power
  • Doom getting even more power
  • Ultron...just, in general

i mean i can continue, but everything is ironman's fault. Add on please
Iron Man is such a woat hero interesting personality but my gawd if it wasn't for RDJ I'd completely hate him. Your doing good work posting all the fukkery he's caused.

well the ROCK is playing black adam in the Shazam! movie, so that alone makes him A-lister, period.

Black Adam isn't an A-list character. I know you're the Coli's biggest Shazam fan, but come on breh.

Is Dr. Strange an A-lister because of Cumberbatch?

Magneto
Thanos
Sinister
Kingpin
Kang
Venom
Taskmaster
The Hellfire Club
Dr. Doom
Juggernaut

And Darkseid got bytch slapped by Superman and even outsmarted by Batman..they've tried to revamp since those ETHER days but it's hard to ever get those tragic images out of one's mind.

BRANIAC is definitely A TIER.

outside of batman's scope there is:

BRANIAC
vandal savage
Deathstroke
grodd
REVERSE FLASH [don't sleep]
black adam

those aren't b listers.
The thing with Brainac is he would initially get some things done in Marvel but what happens when he gets Reed, Doom, and Dr. Strange's attention? He gets beat in 5 panels.

basically the skrulls at one point kidnapped reed richards and figured out how to disguise themselves completely undetectable as people on earth. When the illuminati rescued reed, they were talking immesaurable shyt, and the skrull queen was like "no, they pay for THIS"

they subsequently infiltrated stark enterprises and took over all of stark's technology. All of this is happening DURING civil war. electra got killed, and it was shown she was really a skrull clone [her body turned into a skrull]. When they discovered her , BLACK BOLT SPOKE showing that he's really a skrull too, and that BOLT had been kidnapped in order to make a voice activated cannon.

Basically, Stark's hubris during civil war made him blind to the fact that his entire empire had been taken over by skrulls and he made it easier for them to invade. This is also why OSCORP took over in terms of technological control in marvel in the aftermath of SI, and how the dark reign came up. Basically osborn took over everything stark had, and sent him back to GO =>

Whatever happened to the Hood? Thought he was kinda interesting and it seemed like they were building him up to be someone powerful.
I hate the fukking Hood and the way Bendis/Marvel kept trying to force him down people's throats. He was more of a star of Bendis' Avengers run than some of the actual Avengers team members were. So of course Marvel is trotting him back out yet again as the lead in a new all villains Illuminati book:

flick wise, everytime you see a marvel villain it's their origin story. It's the beginning of a LARGE cinematic rotation

even the flicks minus the origin flicks feel like comic arcs. There's no sense of looming finality and that's intentional. So the part 2s feel like a moment in time

comic wise DC's heroes are more mythic so it makes sense that their villains are more mythic as well. One thing about marvel though is that heroes swap villains on a regular moreso than DC. The cities aren't fictional so it allows for that. Joker residing in metropolis or coast city for an extended arc would be weird for example. I mean it's doable, but batman would have to show up at some point. With marvel it's less so.
