THE DARK KNIGHT RISES REVIEW THREAD [SPOILERS]

TDKR is definitely more EPIC than The Avengers....but I think I liked The Avengers more too.

But I'm going to see TDKR a second time before I make a conclusion on that....already seen Avengers twice. Loved it more the second time to be honest. The final battle scene is spectacular, incredibly well thought out and executed. From the way different actions took out the letters on the STARK building, to the way the team used their powers in conjunction to accomplish certain things....and I was ready for the single-take sequence this time. So fukking cool.

And get mad if you want, but I'm more forgiving to a movie like The Avengers having minor plot holes than The Dark Knight. Nolan has established a level of reality in his trilogy that the Marvel universe obviously doesn't adhere to. If you're going to establish "rules" like Nolan has, then you have to live up to them. The flaws aren't anywhere near enough to make me dislike the film though, just little things that made me in the theater.

I brought this up earlier....but @ the Batcycle being able to take out the Tumblers so easy.....cmon......

Because the "plot holes" ppl are nitpicking about are the smallest things.

"The core had an led light on it"

"A fictional aircraft can't go that fast"

"How did bane get his bike in the building"

The bolded is the only thing that can be classified as nitpicky

What about asking

- How Blake and not Gordon deduces Bruce is Batman

- The underdeveloped reasons for Talia's sexual & emotional betrayal

Not everything can be answered with 'hey he is Batman' or 'its just a movie' when it is claimed Nolan does not put out 'just movies'

The movie doesn't make sense to you? The story is easy to follow, nothing too complexed.

Huge plot hole. Batman thought Bane was the one who climb out of that prison. I'm gonna leave it at that.

Huge plot holes when u use 3 different cities to use as one gotham.
Only 1 cop figuring out that Dent was dirty.
Batman initially thinking Bane was the little kid that escaped even though bane said he was man when he left.

there was a timer breh, less than 2 mins

after it shows 2 mins batman says peace to everybody individually and finally leaves like a nuke isnt about to explode

even if he got 10 miles away, the radiation would rape gotham for decades

They mentioned in the movie that the blast radius was 6 miles

These people don't realize....he is Bane, a master strategist. Who is going to stop him from bringing bikes into the building? Before he walked inside the stock exchange, he had a helmet on and he clapped all the guards. You don't think his boys won't bring the bikes inside as part of the escape plan? Why are people having a hard time connecting things? Dumb nikkas need to stop watching Nolan movies and stick to cartoons.

Oh, and another thing....all those cops walking into a sea of inmates armed with ASSAULT RIFLES and they all only have handguns was pretty fukking ridiculous. If Batman doesn't show up, they would have all been dead in 5 minutes. What kind of "take back the city" plan was that?

Call it hating all you want, but the final fight/battle scene was pretty shytty outside of the Batman/Bane showdown, which was fukking GREAT.
