This movie was better than the dark knight. Bane was brilliant and catwoman had me :ahh: The ending was phenomenal. Batman getting his ass beat down by Bane was crazy.

Yeah I thought it was better too, better themes and just a better story.

Nothing beats Heath as Joker, but he stole the show in TDK. The movie became about him because of it, where this movie had me so invested in all the other characters so much and the story was just better. Possible Nuclear destruction and the development of Robin and Bane's revolution were awesome.

Only beef whatsoever, Bane was a bit hard to understand at times

A testament to it'sgreatness is I purposely stay away from very long movies, i`d see this one again. Once I saw LOTR trilogy, i never saw each movie more t han once, and i loved them. I`d re-watch this many times for sure

I think she was fleshed out enough :yeshrug: everything bane was doing was her idea . Plus all her save the world nonsense . I think the point of the second fighy was he knew banes weakness while in the First fight Bruce underestimated him .
I really like the idea that him losing the fear of death made him lose his edge . Interesting take usually it's the other way around. Plus the victory defeated him idea was nice touch .
I like this better than tdk as a batman movie . While tdk was built around the joker this one was a Bruce focused movie. I didn't feel the drag like in dark knight after harvey turns two face

Good stuff.... the fear of death aspect made sense. I mean, Alfred was telling Bruce, "look at this dude, the size, the quickness, the power, the gulliness, he's too much to handle" :ohlawd:

Bruce was like :beli: dude had no fear and he became irrational in his approach.

I watched the TDK last night for the first time since it was in theaters. I realized that although, Joker was a big part of the movie, I think that he was in our minds because of Heath Ledger's death, sad but true. Joker is weird as hell and looks funny so he will always be memorable in any batman movie (great performance none the less). Batman was pushed to the limit throughout the movie and the way he handled Joker's games and overcame them was more relevant to me (to each his own), the last scene when he takes on the SWAT team with the Joker's hostages being dummy targets was :gladbron:

after watching this twice, i came to the conclusion that RISES is as equally good as TDK, but completely different films.

in fact, it felt like RISES was more of a direct sequel to BEGINS than TDK. out of all the films of the trilogy, TDK felt out of place.

of course, nolan purposely didn't want to mention the joker in RISES out of respect of his death and refusal to exploit the character in that regard, but really outside of patching up loose ends (no different to how it was done with capturing the scarecrow in TDK) over the truth told to bruce about rachel & the truth being known about dent, NONE of RISES has any relation to TDK but everything directly to BEGINS.

emotionally- taking gotham hostage
financially- bankrupting his entire worth

I can't even lie, everytime gunshots went off in the movie I started getting a little fidgety and looking around the exits and the crowd. So I can see how people would just decide to hold off on going to the movies.

When she took off that jacket in Bruce's mansion that was one of the few times in my life I had an eye popping experience. Did NOT know she was stacked like that:merchant:

I was so confused too because in the other movies she was in she wasn't anywhere near that huge but then I read she gave birth like a week before shooting the movie.

When the LoS busted into the stock exchange and started opening fire, I got a lil :merchant:. Then no lie this white dude walked into the theater with one of these

:gladbron: when Batman kicked Bane through that door followed by that clinking sound when he kept punching that mask/his face was vicious too.

Bane tearing up when Talia was talking about him showed a lot about his character/background.
