Neither Watson or Wilson ending up in the division is a little surprising to me. I thought the skins and/or the giants would get one of them.

Black QB's going to the giants

Why not throw Jayron a 2-3 year deal?

I liked the way he played last year.

They trying to short change him?

I saw a post on CZ that said the Cowboys approach paying players like a "promotion" for a job well done. Whereas, most, if not all the other teams approach paying players based on what they've done and what they can potentially do for you in the long run...that's why they love the "in-house" approach

This franchise is so behind on the times and culture. I feel they try to be "too friendly" if that makes any sense. Like they try to people please (ie: make money) instead of fostering a winning culture and I don't see it stopping. We're getting lapped by the freaking Bengals and Browns lol. They live in their bubble that they think they know what they're doing...it's frustrating as a fanbase

nikkas scared cuz a Brandon Carr deal didn't necessarily work out SMH.
The fact they locked up LVE and Gifford before Kearse tells you everything you need to know about what they value here in Dallas.

Kearse is a big reason this defense played with an edge last season for the first time in years. You’d think dumb and dumber would take notice when every defender brings up Kearse’s intensity and how it rubs off on the entire defense. But dumb and dumber are too busy trying to lock up “their own” to pay attention to this. They probably think it was all Quinn’s doing and he can do the same with whatever slop they put on his plate.

What you have to understand is Jerry and Stephen don't know shyt about football...Jerry just owns a football team and Stephen just happens to be his son. We don't operate like other nfl teams, who have football people who get paid to make football decisions, and if they go to long without making good decisions they get fired. We got the actual owner of the team wanting to be GM, and we got the owners son running player personnel. Is Jerry firing himself when he doesn't convince players to come to Dallas? Nope. Is he firing his son when multiple reports come out saying he always lowballs players and doing contracts with him is a pain in the ass? Nope. Jerry and Stephen don't have an "approach to players". They are just fukking stupid when it comes to football in general. Their "approach to players" is the same as a person who doesn't know how to operate stove "approach to cooking" is. They don't sign the right free agents, they don't put together the right kind of coaching staff, the front office is nothing but Stephen and Jerry frat house. The only redeeming factor for the cowboys is that there is so much parity in the nfl now and they play in such a terrible division that all they got to do is got hot at the right time like the bengals did and maybe they can luck their way into a super bowl run since the NFC is wide open. Is there 1 dominant team in the NFC right now?

Brandon Carr, Jay Ratliff, Marion Barber (the 3rd), Ken Hamlin, Tyrone Crawford, all didn’t work out.

simple math. They got Kearse at a bargain last season. He increased his value, and now they may not be able to afford him.

What they’re probably doing is letting the market decide his worth. See what offers he get from other teams.

They think they can keep hitting on these bargains every year. But for every Jayron Kearse you get Stephen Paea, Darian Thompson, and Nolan Carroll
