I'm not a Dak hater but I have a question....Do you think Cam could do what Dak did with this team if he was the starter?

Watching the Player's Lounge episode from yesterday and Newy mentioned that interview that Dak and JuJu got at the Star tomorrow.

:scust:

This coddled mf has the 49ers playoff game off limits during interviews?!

Brooooooos how the fukk did we get here?

Did Dak play bad against the 49ers. Yep. Is Dak actually that bad of a QB as he was against the 49ers? Nope.
I'm curious as to what makes you say this.

I hope it's not about how he beats up on bad NFC East teams every year.
And I damn sure know it's not about how he performs against above .500 teams.
I'm not even talking about final score or statistics, either. We've all seen how this team comes out in big games against quality opponents. For years. And who is always right there in front leading this anemic offense for the entire 1st halves of said games?

He is EXACTLY who he was in that SF game. Don't tell me you think he's the guy from the Atlanta or Washington game...

He's about in the middle of those 2 extremes you'd say?

Well that gets us garbage like this year KC and DEN.
2019 he lost to Teddy when Teddy only kicked FGs. Disgraceful loss to Jets. Lost to a bad Eagles team towards the end of the year in a do or die game.
2017 he looked completely lost without Zeke.
2018 he was pretty bad to start the year and GM panic traded and he had his fluke little run with Amari.

There was a stretch at the end of the year where our defense was giving him 4 turnovers a game and he was still out there looking pedestrian.

Playoffs
GB - anemic offense first half
SEA - decent. still had to come back from behind in the 4th
LAR - quick TD strike to Amari and then anemic offense remaining 45 minutes
SF - anemic offense first half

So nah, I don't think the 49ers game was an outlier.

He's not in the middle. Average qb's don't throw for 37 touchdown passes.

You are doing what everyone else does, which is somehow blaming Dak for every loss while trying to cherry pick games that the defense generated a lot of turnovers.

On paper in that San Fran game it seemed like the defense played well. But then a funny thing happened. The 49ers went and played the 11th worse run defense by yards, the 3rd worst by YPC, which is pretty bad. And what did the Packers run defense that has been bad all year do? They gave up 67 rushing yards to a team that was number 5 in rushing attempts, number 7 in yards. You see how that defense was bad all year but rose up and played well when it mattered the most? Now what did our defense do against the 49ers? Gave up a 169 yards and 2 touchdowns. So now that we can actually measure our defense against another team due to having the same opponent, our defense was TRASH. We gave up over 100 more yards on the ground than a bottom 10 rush defense. We gave up 2 touchdowns to a team who's offense couldn't score at all in the next game. Now tell me how many teams in the league this year gave up 170 yards on the ground and 2 touchdowns on the ground and won the game?

Gave up a 190 yards rushing in that Broncos game by the way. Gave up a 143 yards in that raiders game. I see a theme here. It seems like when the defense gives up a shyt ton of rushing yards, we lose. Or do you have some expectation that Dak is going to overcome this? Joe Burrow is in the superbowl, but his team gave up 133 rushing yards to Green Bay. It was an L. Gave up 153 and 205 to Cleveland. Both of them L's. Gave up a 100 to the 49ers. L I see a theme. Rams gave up 216 rushing yards to the Cardinals. It was an L. Only gave up 92 to the packers, not bad...but they only rushed for 68. L. 49ers ran for over 150 on them twice. Both L's. 49ers only ran for 50 on Sunday and wouldn't you know it the Rams snapped a 6 game losing streak to them? I see a theme.

So before we start talking about what Dak is or isn't doing, I want to know why I can watch a trash ass run defense like Green Bay get gashed all year and give up 0 fukking points on offense but our defense gets shredded on the ground and gives up 14 points? Our run defense was better than the Packers damn near every week except for when the playoffs started and then there run defense was SIGNIFICANTLY better than ours. Why?

You guys keep talking about Dak not coming through when it matters or being clutch, which was definitely true against the 49ers but he sure wasn't alone with the defense getting styled on, gregory lining up off sides so many times, and Zeke with his typical 31 yards and 2.6 yards a carry. You got to give this guy the ball 4 times in a row to MAYBE get 10 yards, but you trying to tell me the problem is Dak? Defense getting shredded on the ground by a team who couldn't score one offensive touchdown a week later but you want to tell me about Dak? Bengals kicker made 2 game winning field goals to send them to the superbowl and Gregg missed 12 combined extra points and field goals but you want to tell me about Dak? One of the 2 times Gregg actually kicked a go ahead field goal the defense folded and you guys chalked it up as "you can't give brady that much time" but I just saw the Bengals defense hold up against Mahommes in overtime so they could win the game so we know it can happen. We gave the 49ers 5 first downs off penalties. How many did the bengals give KC? How many did KC give the Bengals? If less than 5 then why did we give up 5 and what does that have to do with Dak?

I saw Dak throw for 3 touchdowns and 400 yards against the Bucs. Somehow he lost this game. Tell me the name of the other QB this year who threw for 400 yards and 3 touchdowns and LOST. And when you can't find another one then explain to me how Dak lost this game?

Saw him throw 8 touchdown passes against the Eagles over two games and they made the playoffs. Show me the other supposedly bad qb's who are throwing for 8 touchdowns and 0 picks over 2 games against teams that make the playoffs? And when you can't find another one explain how Dak is doing it if he is so "bad".

Saw him go into New England and throw for 445 and 3 touchdowns AND make the game winning play in OT. They were a playoff team. Show me the other Qb who threw for 445 and 3 touchdowns against them. When you can't explain to me how Dak did it if he is so "bad".

You want to tell me about the defense and they 4 turnovers? Got them against the Giants. They make the playoffs? Nope. They have a winning record? Nope. The racist skins. They make the playoffs? Nope. They have a winning record? Nope. You telling me Dak only plays well against bad teams? Raiders were a good team and I think Dak held up his end of the bargain throwing for 375 and 2 touchdowns with no pics. You think the defense held up its end getting a 100 yards worth of penalties and letting Carr throw for 375? I think Dak held up his end of the bargain against the bucs throwing for over 400 and 3 touchdowns. You think the defense held up its in of the deal by giving up 379 yards and 4 touchdowns to Tom Brady. They got 2 picks but I think giving up 379 and 4 touchdowns hurts way more than getting 2 pics helps. You guys kept harping on that Raiders lost as being some undoing to this team, you think the cowboys lost that game more so cause Dak didn't play well enough or do you think they lost the game more so cause Gregg missed a field goal and the defense gave up a combined 473 yards between passing and penalties?

If I look at the bucs top 5 passing games is the cowboys defense on there ? Yep. If I look at the Raiders top 5 passing games is the dallas cowboys defense on there? Yep. If I look at the denver broncos top 5 rushing games is the cowboys defense on there ? Yep. If I look at the 49ers top 7 rushing games is the cowboys defense on there ? Yep.

I can show you Dak game winning touchdown pass against the Patriots. Can you show me Zeke game winning touchdown run? Outside of the Chargers can you show me Gregg game winning field goal? Can you show me Diggs game winning interception? Can you show me Parsons game winning tackle? Can you show me Lawrence game winning sack? We lost 5 games this year. In one game we had the lead but the defense couldn't hold up. The bengals defense could though. In one game the defense gave up 473 yards in passing and penalties. Name another defense that did that all year? In another we gave up 170 rushing yards to a team who couldn't even get 70 the next week. In another we gave up 190 rushing yards. Show me the game that the defense didn't get ran all over, or thrown all over, or we made all our kicks. The closes we game was that Washington game...and we won that game. So yeah there was that one time at band camp where the cowboys defense did actually win the game where Dak was atrocious. Unfortunately for us Washington is not a football team we going to see in January anytime soon so...

City of Angels :blessed:
I'm so tired of this whole organization I can't even get motivated to talk about offseason moves or debate right now. Whole organization from top to bottom just got me feeling detached as all hell . Once draft comes around it should restore the feeling but for now I'm :shaq2:

Oh, you mean when teams get up on the Cowboys early because we start so awfully slow, they tend to run the ball more against us?
:lupe:

Defense only gave up 19 to KC and we couldn't get to double digits.
Basically pitched a shutout in 2nd half vs SF besides the INT deep in our territory from Dak.
Those are the two best teams we played. The two biggest games.
How did he look? How did he throw? How was his decision making? How did he look in the pocket?
This dude was getting delay of games and snapping the ball before his players were set in the biggest game of the season.
I don't give a damn if Zeke finished the game with -48 yards and 3 fumbles lost. That was an embarrassment to the QB position with that kind of composure and poise.

SF-GB was a weather game and it's not a fair comparison to any of the games we played this year. Guys were dropping the ball left and right at Lambeau and it became a sloppy trench fest.
We'd lose that game even worse than either team did, btw, if we were in such a game.

Hard for the defense to do what they want when they're playing from behind.
Sure, they gave up points in Q1. Denver, Kansas City, Oakland, Arizona, San Francisco.
It would be nice if they could count on the QB to show up against quality opponents, though. All those games we gave up some points (never insurmountable, not even close) and the offense just fukked around for the first 30 minutes of the game. Sometimes the entire game until the 4th.
Run was getting stuffed, but make no mistake, your homie under center looked horrendous in each and every one of those games besides Oakland.
Gameflow is awful in all of our losses except Tampa, and Dak throwing is a massive reason why in every one of those 5 games.

Run was getting stuffed vs Tampa as well but he was able to engineer the offense with his arm. Props to him. How about in the other 5 losses?

Don't tell me you're puffing your chest out about "8 TDs in 2 games against the Eagles." They basically played their backups the entire second game and treated it like it was less than a preseason game.
Meanwhile we trotted Zeke out there for 1k and hoped Dak could find his rhythm for the playoffs.
he didn't

Ryan Tannehill has more 4,000 yard seasons than Joe Montana. What am I supposed to do with Dak's numbers?
Nick Foles had a 27-2 td-int stretch in 2013 as a starter. How impressed should I be with Dak's QBR?

We lament the defense not coming up stronger in these losses. Meanwhile we can’t ever accrue talent on that side of the ball because we’re stuck chasing All Pro OL and Pro Bowl WRs, TE, and RB for Dak. And it’s never enough.

Sounds like Coop is going to fall on the sword for the bumass QB we have

Even though what he said wasn’t that bad, I just detest hearing this buffoon speak about football. Every time I see his face I feel the urge to just slap the fiya out of his tellytubby ass. A grown man who chews his nails throughout a game isn’t fit to be the owner of this franchise. Go play grown up on the competition committee and let one of the ugly ass grand kids or one of the Cruella Deville looking witches take the reigns.
