The brand split made no sense to me when they first did in , I don't understand the logic behind it, if you create stories you don't need a brand split to utilize talent and by having 1 set of org belts you increase the stakes of said belts and can milk them for better storylines.

Is it time to consider the writing teams a failure? How about quit paying these failed journalist and stand up comedians to not create compelling television. All these ex WWE creative team members have a podcast where they talk about shyt they did in WWE 10 years ago. Obvious overpriced hacks. Let these agents book and have:hhh: be final decision.

The E should be investing in cyborgs of all the past legends at the very least. Won't need to worry about the necessary ingredients like steroids and cocaine anymore. That way Savage/Steamboat and Austin/Rock can #FIGHTFOREVER

Is this a post from 2004 :lolbron:?? the writing has been mostly shyt for a very long time, but the creative team doesn't take any heat for it, the wrestlers 100% do themselves. The writing team (and Vince obviously) wanted Roman Reigns to be Rock/Cena, when his natural personality couldn't be further from that. Seth "FREAKIN" Rollins....what is a FREAKIN? The UNDERDOG FROM THE UNDERGROUND....ok? They need a complete teardown of the writing team and getting rid of all that forced buzzwords crap

The first Brand split, they had to do it, since they had the remaining WCW & ECW roster as well as the WWE roster at the time because not everyone could be on 1 show at once, the second one was because USA/NBC made them do it cause the quality of Smackdown pre-brand split was basically a cut down RAW recap with more wrestling.
And it's pretty much been the same before the brand split except they're on different brands ain't nothing changed still the same old lame product.

None of the reasons you posted align with you saying they had to do it.
They could have kept the same shows and actually put effort into them, there was no reason for a "brand split"
WCW and ECW incorporation didn't mean you had to do anything except integrate them into storyline. USA/NBC was mad about the quality, good writing and planing negates that. Now its the same, as the first, poor storyline and writing.

Its a needless split and a waste of resources to implement, and it still doesn't address the actual problem which is poor storylines and writing.

Wrestlemania is long ago in the rearview, 2017 is half over and they're $24 million unrecouped from matching their profit margin from last year. Yikes. Maybe they'd sell more Network subs if they stopped putting out shytty PPVs every month.

Seriously, this was the formula wrestling succeeded on for decades until Vince decided that he wanted to compete with actual TV shows for God knows what delusions of grandeur. Wrestling isn't rocket science. Get some bookers to map out the direction and let the stars do their thing. Tried & true formula.

Both the first time they did a brand split and this time, Smackdown was the shyt... but they managed to make it boring again at some point. :yeshrug:

That crusty fukk CM Punk was still right after all this time... Vince is gonna keep succeeding in spite of himself cause WWE stays sleep.

Signing all the talent in the world and not doing shyt with it, then cutting pyro and talking smack... you need to be cutting Kevin Dunn and the entire writing staff.
