I'll say this. WWE in 2024 is way better than WWE in 2019 (the year I stopped watching full-time). Some things from the late 2010s were cringeworthy back then and intolerable now.

But I can't refute anything said in this thread. Some excellent points are being made here. It's like you guys took the legacy of @TheGreatShowtime and carried it on. I'm not watching everything, but I definitely recognize certain things that are going to become bigger problems if they're not addressed now:

-The New Day's heel turn has been mishandled. They have mega heat and nothing to show for it. At least give them the tag titles.
-I like Rhea, but I think she's going to become overexposed. She's not God's gift to women's wrestling. Her voice is grating sometimes. Her feud with Liv lasted longer than it should have and I feel like they're not willing to have anybody else on her level. Bianca is literally her peer and she's not getting the same shine.
-No black talent on Netflix RAW so far is inexcusable. That New Day promo should have been on the broadcast.
-Now that I think about it, I can't remember the last women's world champion that's black. In fact, this thread is making me realize that all of the singles women's champions on the main roster are white. Chelsea Green is great, but it makes me wonder if one of the midcard titles should have went to a veteran like Naomi to establish it. It worked for Seth with the WHC.

I feel like WWE started getting out of the dark ages (the 2010s) after the pandemic. Remember when Alexa was booked as a dominant champion, Bayley and Sasha were lesbian, and Asuka was booked like a chump for months? Triple H is absolutely a better booker than Vince. The company feels like it has direction now and the stories make a lot more sense. But his blind spots are showing more since the honeymoon phase is over. These things can be rectified, but if not, WWE is eventually going to backslide and the quality will be reminiscent of 2019, but for different reasons.

You had me until the end. Vince was vince and it was what it was. He had ups and downs. Everyone does... what Vince did eventually do though is start pushing Black wrestlers and presenting the same level of opportunity. Viking Experience is quite possibly the worst name of all time but Gunther is probably one of the best name changes of all time.

Bianca went 3-0 at mania under Vince McMahon and held the women's title longer than anyone in the modern era. she got a dub at last years mania but let's see how long Triple K lets this streat ride. Bianca been lost in the shuffle until the Nose

When Vince ran things, the product was chaotic, disorganized, and almost all talent suffered because of it. Kofi losing the title in six seconds. Last-minute changes that made absolutely no sense. Derailing careers of guys and girls who were organically over and forcing them into roles they weren't meant for. Bianca lost the title to Becky in thirty seconds and almost had her momentum derailed for good. Vince's booking decisions were just nonsensical and dismissive of what the fans wanted.

This is just an example, but Jinder Mahal said during his interview with CVV that Vince forced him to change his wrestling style when he was WWE Champion. He just wanted him to work holds and nothing else, and the babyface would do the exciting offense. It limited what Jinder could do in the ring and made his title reign worse. Fast forward a couple years later and he had a great title match with Seth. That's the kind of thing Jinder would have been allowed to do if he was champion now.

I would say Triple H is more inactive than Vince and certain guys and girls are stuck in neutral right now when they should be doing more. Vince was far more destructive and committed character assassination multiple times. Bayley, Asuka, Strowman, just to name a few.

Vince was indeed wilding and I have no doubt that he's probably racist but he was wilding everyone.

:hhh: seems to have specific targets and he's letting it be known. I believe there was smack down where they had all the black people wrestle within the first hour of the show back to back and they all lost... well technically Bianca and Jade won but the match was thrown out due to them getting jumped by alba fyre and them. so although they won the segment ended with them on their backs. But Melo lost and Apollo Crews and Corbin lost.

I used to be all alone in my critiques of Rhea.

If you stay the course, the people will see the light.

Why are cats here saying Vince booked bayley crazy..? She had that legendary heel double champion run with Sasha during the Vince times..

No way is fake Egyptian triple h booked bayley better than golden role model bayley..! :russ:

The "bu bu bu but Vince" deflection tactics not gonna work. We know who Vince was, what he did, and how he started to change. Doesn't change that he made bad decisions. But we talking bad booking based on racial discrimination and dudes talking about the mishandling of Brawn Stroman

"He might be racist but he's better than Vince McMahon" :mjpls:

Y'all are running this shyt into the ground. We get it. Go watch AEW or Booker T's promotion. There are like three or four threads on this same topic, with one being a mega thread and the RAW and SD threads are spammed with the same complaints every week. This is getting stinks level bad where the same group of posters complain about a wrestling promotion who has no intent on changing what they are doing.

What were your thoughts on no black wrestlers being featured on the Netflix debut or the follow up sir?

Most notably absent is The New Day, a legendary tag team who no doubt were becoming stale but flipped the switch with a monster heel turn and there has been no follow up. Them beating down LWO, alpha academy or even the tag champs themselves would've did numbers and set up some type of feud instead of wandering getting punked every week.

Bianca Belair is literally on the promo poster for Raw Netflix and they had her in the audience instead of wrestling. She's a tag champ so they could've fit her in there a multitude of ways wether tag or singles match but she is undoubtedly the biggest female star the company has and has pretty much been promo ambassador for a long ass time.

Breh dude embodies a 80s territory. From the "no nikkas" to the put the belt on Bruno steez :dead: .

For the ever lasting life of me, every match Triple Holocaust had was mid to ass.

Hell even the HIAC match with Cactus Jack was boring AF. Dude really tried to one up Mark Galloway and ended up damn near killing Mick Foley in the process :mindblown: .

He will die being a company man. A shell of a time when wrasslin meant something.

Dude is the epitome of a Eric Snow. A good player but no rings.

On a serious note, it’s wild that at the end, Vince got over his hang up with Black people in premiere roles but then Levesque brought it back. How are you more racist than someone 80

Well, Jade got hurt and even before that wasn't showing much improvement as a worker :yeshrug:

I'm one of Jade's earliest critics.

The issue is them forcing her into a work rate style.

I love Bianca, but, their whole tag team style is not it.

She should be wrestling like this; no selling, military presses, no 50/50 shyt

The template already exists for a "limited" wrestling mega star

Book her like Sid Vicious, not Adam Cole

Odd thing to say since recent incompetence led to Lashley leaving yet they got time to push a broken down 2025 Rebel, old version of Cena, LA Knight, Rhea, The Vikings goofballs, the gay comedy duo, Lyra....

Also Richochet leaving. Granted he isn't as good as Lashley but he has talent and is a top level flippy dude. When Richochet caught Ivar mid air and walked him across the ring and hit that fall away slam he showed he got more in the bag And he had the crowd enamored.

I don't remember Richochet getting a single win on Bron Breakker or Logan Paul. I just remember him getting bytched out infront of his woman every week. Yet people talk about "the face has to have comeuppance" only when its convenient :mjpls:

TBF Vince carny goofy ass was more open minded with black wrestlers, but overkilled on the stereotypes :francis: . Trips on the other hand on his blacks behind the chicken wire steez.

Look I get it, as a booker you can't please every wrestler regardless of color, but good fukking grief, the man has some of the best black talent to come out of the world, yet he's too busy licking Gargano's nuts to care.

As much hell I give Tony Khan and still feel legit heated about the Swole situation, I give him props as far as the direction of black talent. Yes, he books like ADHD ridden dope fiend, but I could easily turn on Dynamite and not feel like I need to be in the nosebleeds with the others :mjpls:

Hell, when OmGOATs thriving hard in NOAH over his catering days in the Trips era, maybe just maybe this is deeper than the book with Trips :francis:

Cmon breh. Have you forgotten this? :usure:

For all the issues we may have with HHH and Tony Khan they don’t purposely say fukk you to the fanbase.

I'd rather have Vince say fukk you to the fanbase as a collective then :hhh: say fukk you to the black fan base exclusively

And with that being said Vince had hits and misses.

I wish people would realize this, instead of having this blind hatred to what's real. Vince was a senile old perverted demonic coot, but dude made sure black folks got their due to a certain degree.

Main title wise :patrice:, nasty slope given the whole Rocky argument, but beyond that:

  • Ahmed Johnson
  • Farooq
  • Mark Henry
  • Booker T
  • R Truth
  • Jacqueline
  • Jazz
  • OmGOATs
  • New Day
The list goes on and no matter how each of them got booked, nearly all of them got gold, pushes, and gimmicks that got over.

As a WCW head I hate the cocksucker, but as a flabby and sick wrestling head in 2025 I get it :francis:

Seeing some posters getting upset about this topic wonder why :sas2:

It's not ok for black people to have an opinion on black wrestlers. We gotta let the vision play out. :mjpls:

I talk about wrestling with my parents at some point every week and my mom is "this close" to throwing this shyt in the bushes. This isn't just internet opinions

:banderas: Man if OmGOATs in Japan keeps on gaining traffic, black wrestlers may have to adapt to that strong style just to thrive in MAGAt wrestling land.
