I'll say this. WWE in 2024 is way better than WWE in 2019 (the year I stopped watching full-time). Some things from the late 2010s were cringeworthy back then and intolerable now.
But I can't refute anything said in this thread. Some excellent points are being made here. It's like you guys took the legacy of @TheGreatShowtime and carried it on. I'm not watching everything, but I definitely recognize certain things that are going to become bigger problems if they're not addressed now:
-The New Day's heel turn has been mishandled. They have mega heat and nothing to show for it. At least give them the tag titles.
-I like Rhea, but I think she's going to become overexposed. She's not God's gift to women's wrestling. Her voice is grating sometimes. Her feud with Liv lasted longer than it should have and I feel like they're not willing to have anybody else on her level. Bianca is literally her peer and she's not getting the same shine.
-No black talent on Netflix RAW so far is inexcusable. That New Day promo should have been on the broadcast.
-Now that I think about it, I can't remember the last women's world champion that's black. In fact, this thread is making me realize that all of the singles women's champions on the main roster are white. Chelsea Green is great, but it makes me wonder if one of the midcard titles should have went to a veteran like Naomi to establish it. It worked for Seth with the WHC.
I feel like WWE started getting out of the dark ages (the 2010s) after the pandemic. Remember when Alexa was booked as a dominant champion, Bayley and Sasha were lesbian, and Asuka was booked like a chump for months? Triple H is absolutely a better booker than Vince. The company feels like it has direction now and the stories make a lot more sense. But his blind spots are showing more since the honeymoon phase is over. These things can be rectified, but if not, WWE is eventually going to backslide and the quality will be reminiscent of 2019, but for different reasons.
You had me until the end. Vince was vince and it was what it was. He had ups and downs. Everyone does... what Vince did eventually do though is start pushing Black wrestlers and presenting the same level of opportunity. Viking Experience is quite possibly the worst name of all time but Gunther is probably one of the best name changes of all time.
Bianca went 3-0 at mania under Vince McMahon and held the women's title longer than anyone in the modern era. she got a dub at last years mania but let's see how long Triple K lets this streat ride. Bianca been lost in the shuffle until the Nose
