The refs called it a 2 point attempt. They changed it to a 3 point attempt BECAUSE Mazzulla challenged it.

I know you're not a dumbass. But if I have to explain to you why that was a stupid challenge, then I really don't know what more to say to you. I mean, outside of it being an obvious foul. You lose your challenge, lose a timeout etc. It was goofy, don't defend it.

They were going to review it, regardless, to see where his feet were. They always do. Mazzulla challenging that call wouldn't have made a difference on them checking.

Challenging it was the right thing to do given the situation, in fact, the officials got the call wrong -

Jimmy actually double-dribbled here, and it should've been a turnover.



If they deemed Al fouled him before the double dribble, then it should've been a non-shooting foul and Jimmy should've only received two free throws and not three. Not only did Mazzulla make the right call to challenge, the Celtics actually got shafted because it should've been a Miami turnover.

I ran it back on TV in slow-mo and it was clearly at 3.0 when Horford pushed him in the back and 2.9 when he got him across the arm. I hate Boston but the clock handling was right IMO.

Why is everybody killing Spo for Struss having his back to the inbounder. He did EXACTLY what he was supposed to do which was cut off the pass to Tatum which lead to Smart taking the three. The problem was Struss running towards the three point line after White was already running in for the rebound. I do agree I'd rather have Hightower in on defense their but the initial defense did what it was supposed to be.

Exactly. The defence did what it was designed to do. And they got the miss. The offense also did what it was designed to do and got their rebounders free for a tip in in case of a miss.

The TV clock is not the official clock in the arena. The ref called the time based on when he felt the foul occured and the arena clock.
