Did this really need its own thread? Why couldn’t this be made in the OG Game Awards thread?
they hit Swen with the "please wrap it up" while he was taking about his colleague that recently passed, after Larian won the most prestigious award at the show. probably also why Swen didn't get a chance to announce the Xbox version of BG3
no one gives a shyt about those random ass, npc ass game directors.
Acting like Sam Lake is Christopher Nolan or something. Kick rocks. We here for the spectacle. Not boring ass speeches. I could watch any award show for that.
So you enjoyed Kojima talking bullshyt for ten minues or Anthony Mackie making garbage ass jokes brek?
Sam Lake getting a few seconds on stage while Kojima and the Twisted Metal dude got to do whatever they wanted for however long they want was a bunch of bullshyt.
I enjoyed the reveals the most. Hell that’s why I tuned in.
GoW DLC, FF16 DLC, DBZ game play, rise of ronin, exodus, the African game, the mech game.
Kojima entrance was hype at first but when he didn’t show Deathstranding 2 I tuned it out.
But I’m not gonna act like I care a bunch of no names only got 30 seconds to accept an award
Bruh I honestly don’t know what Mackie did. Sorry he ruined ya night tho.Unsurprisingly, you dodged my point.
TGA is the most egregious with it, because geoff tries to pretend it's all about the games and creators year around, meanwhile they aren't on network TV and don't want to have traditional streaming ads, so instead they run there own which would be fine if it was about more about marketing and money but it's not even a completely about the $ which I could respect somewhat.Award shows are marketing events. Once people get that in their heads things make more sense.
