they hit Swen with the "please wrap it up" while he was taking about his colleague that recently passed, after Larian won the most prestigious award at the show. probably also why Swen didn't get a chance to announce the Xbox version of BG3

I enjoyed the reveals the most. Hell that’s why I tuned in.
GoW DLC, FF16 DLC, DBZ game play, rise of ronin, exodus, the African game, the mech game.
Kojima entrance was hype at first but when he didn’t show Deathstranding 2 I tuned it out.
But I’m not gonna act like I care a bunch of no names only got 30 seconds to accept an award

Meanwhile Kojima was on stage for way too long, Mackie seemed to ramble and whatever the fukk with the muppets happened.

It's not a good awards show and a barely a serviceable gaming show.
If he wasn't able to snag the handful of big world premier trailer that he does get even that part would be trash.
But if it's suppose to be an awards show and a celebration of games, and the people behind them they should really let the winners spend more than 2 or 3 minutes (realistically they spend about 60 seconds) on stage. Instead we get the Muppets, orchestrated music and.... Kojima.
No pop, rap, EDM, hip-hop, country, rnb, no gaming skits. Just ads, raffles, and trailers.
Kojima has probably had more game awards stage time over the years than all the winners combined

I addressed kojima
TGA is the most egregious with it, because geoff tries to pretend it's all about the games and creators year around, meanwhile they aren't on network TV and don't want to have traditional streaming ads, so instead they run there own which would be fine if it was about more about marketing and money but it's not even a completely about the $ which I could respect somewhat.
Geoff clearly makes sure he gets what he likes into the show and it gets time, you think the Muppets dishing out money like that. So for me that just makes him rushing through categories and rushing people who trying to explain their game or give thanks even more whack.
TGA is geoffs baby and one big ego stroke for him in a nutshell
People don’t care about video games as art. They care about video games as entertainment. TGA understands this. It’s an entertainment spectacle that hands out awards because that’s what sells.
I was just there for the reveals. The actual show is dumb as fukk, awards stupid, whole ass room full of cringe and weirdo energy.
