@Will Ross had this avi, and i researched it, this is PARODY and nothing more. There are other examples of these type of drawing seen as parody of 50's story telling.

DId I say something that suggest they couldn't? Point me to the exact sentence where i said that. Ive been all over Limon and Siquierres in Costa-Rica. Both predominantly black areas
Wait... Could you be one of them clones who assume people are talking about African-Americans only when the term "black" is used? :ohhh::mjlol:No it's an ethnicity. Did i call it a race? Please highlight/bold where i said that if you're saying i did.

I honestly dont get what point you were trying to make here' doggy. Maybe it's over my head.

Fact: Out of dozens of Panamanians I know there is only ONE who is NOT black. The first time i met a Panamanian who was not black i was in disbelief because i'd seen them on TV but never met one in person. Maybe i'd seen some at Calle Ocho in Miami and just didn't notice. But again out of DOZENS i know personally, only one isn't black.

You just said the woman was costa rican/latino but she won't dat black men. So I'm assuming some people are wondering what race she is, it's important to know to better understand what you're trying to say in this discussion.

"My girlfriend in Costa-Rica only dates black men, period."

Doggy,

If I say Costa Rican and don't specify BLACK if you're going assume you should assume she's racially of the same of the majority of Costa Ricans. The same way to me when someone says someone else is American if I'm going to assume about their race I am going to assume said American is white because majority of Americans are.....white

So if I.said she was Mexican and didn't specify would you be asking me to specify too knowing how minor the black Mexican population is :comeon:

There is a sizable Black Costa Rican Population though.Plus, Why do White Americans get to be just American or White Costa Ricans get to be just Costa Rican?

  1. Sizable still very very far from majority
  2. LIKE I SAID it's about majority and also perception from outside
Before i ever set foot in the united states my perception of this country was that it was a damn near all white country. Your president and every that was in position of power were white. So when the world looked at America back then and even now to some degree, they dont necessarily see that "melting pot" you claim you are.

Again you can use my mexican example. If i tell you I'm bringing some mexican friends to a party, BY DEFAULT you're going to assume they'll look "hispanic" and not black until you see otherwise

Read back to figure out the post about, doggy
You're bragging about your relationship with a woman who dosent want kids that look like her. And a friend who is not acknowledged in public by the women he has sex with, and women who want to have sex with black men but would never have a public relationship or marriage with one.

Cringing at the thought of having kids that are visibly the same race as you is pretty twisted.

That's what I read. if I'm incorrect, let me know.

Melting pot is code word for assimilation. The melting pot is very real.

No

Just saying people like what they like and society can try to pressure/coerce them to do otherwise all it wants but if someone wants what they want bad enough they'll find was around these obstacles to get to what they want no matter what.

You can keep your holier than thou attitude to yourself, kiddo.

I didn't grow up in the United States so educate me on this: Exactly when/how did rappers/entertainers become the leaders in the black community thus being followed/taken seriously when setting these standards?

The kids who listen to the music regurgitate the beauty standards that are uttered in the song. And the demographic who this music is marketed to don't follow anyone who embodies the normal leader archetype. These rappers hold those leadership roles directly/indirectly or intentionally/unintentionally. Let a rapper mention a clothing line and see if it doesn't fly off the shelves. So now imagine the reaction when something like colorism (which is already something many blacks suffer from) is mentioned in a track?
