This movie is a waste of time

I don’t understand why people ride James Wan’s nuts. This movie still would have been shytty regardless if he was involved or not. The first conjuring movies suck. He had one good movie years ago and his track record has been shot since.

There are other supernatural elements they can touch on . Demonic possession is played out. Give us a werewolf movie or something fun.

This was by far one of the weakest ones out of the franchise. It had moments but the majority of the movie dragged on…ALOT. And the scares weren’t hitting like the previous ones. Hell the scares in the first “Annabelle” movie were better.

Sad thing is I WANTED to like it…but it was mid.

However I did enjoy the first 2 so :obama:

They definitely made a directorial decision to move this film away from the standard fare of the genre and when you take gambles like that, sometimes you come up short. This one came up short but I appreciate the guts to even try on a ptoven money maker when the formula is the safer bet.

All said, it wasn't a bad film it just couldn't measure up to it's predecessors. :yeshrug:

Wan would at least make this feel like an actual third entry to The Conjuring franchise and not some direct to video mid. That man knows how to build an atmosphere.

I didn’t really like this film. The first two have the Wan polish since he directed them but both of those entries also managed to craft its own identity. Didn’t know what this film was trying to be.
