One is actually watchable as an adult

Come at me @MartyMcFly

Yeah nah. Can't agree with you on this one at all. @Ebonic Plague is right.

BUT, you're right on your larger point about us loving movies aimed at us when we were kids and shytting on things aimed at kids now seeing as how we're not kids.Way too much bytching and moaning on this board about kid movies now vs then without seeming to realize WE AREN'T KIDS. And if you really think your parents enjoyed the shyt you watched as a kid, then you probably still believe in the easter bunny and the tooth fairy

Kids dont know shyt about this nowadays because kids don't go outside and play. This movie is more than baseball. The sandlot represents that field in every neighborhood or that street that hosted all the games. It's about those hot summer days out playing with your friends and the stories created that are everlasting in your memories. About those 'pickles' you got yourselves into, but were able to get yourself out of. You think back and cherish those moments that you'll never get back. This while felling blessed that you were able to grow up at such a time. This is why movies like The Sandlot, Stand By Me, and The Wood have special places in my heart. Nostalgia
