This is a common issue among black students and intentional af. I used to feel like crap about my writing until I became a teaching assistant and saw what they were writing.

I see her emails and look in disgust over the spelling mistakes and lack of direction. Then she had the nerve of saying my work wasn't clear. This broad is out of line.

I'll just interject and say that the white woman who was my English professor set me straight. We had some throw away essay and she was calling up all the problem students and giving them feedback. Now, I knew I wasn't one of them but she had me hang behind anyway. She finally calls me up and says, "Obreh what is this? There's kids in here that struggle to turn in something half as good as this, and you aren't even trying? You need to start giving a damn ."

Got three final exams with only one of them being cumulative hoping I can reach that 3.5 GPA mark cause I’m running out of time.

The class I thought I had a guaranteed A in turned out to be a 77. Kept asking prof. if this was truly the final grade and he said yeah.


My goal is to obtain at least a 3.5 (at a 3.37) but this C+ demoralized my objective.

Finished the speech, didn’t perform like I wanted to. Talked way too fukking fast ( I talk fast in general) and I practically read read my speech from the PowerPoint since my camera was right in front of me

Brehs I just recently worked my way up to 3+gpa gang. But I’m rethinking uni cuz I’m just getting the degree as a money chasing plot, and idgaf bout attaining the perfect gpa I see the game college is and I just want my degree. @Astroslik is right, it’s white kids with 4.0 and shyt that’s going places, I can probably find some hustle outside of college if need be. Still applied to schools, this shyt ain’t concrete it’s just been a thought
