Thanks I'll look into it. I also have one more question.
I've been doing some research and I have a appointment with the head of Mathematics of a college I'm interested in. I'm kinda really nervous. He said he can help any answers I have and maybe work out a degree map.
Do you have any idea what I should ask him? I got a couple questions but idk . I'm freaking out lol.
I'll get to your post later this week. Lot going on at work at the moment.
That I'm not too sure of. I would check your guidance and counseling department. There are a lot of scholarships that are available but a lot of people just don't know about it. I mean, I know a dude that got a scholarship for perfect attendance in HS. It was like $2k, but it's still something.
When you transfer to a bigger school look at professional student orgs that your school may have affiliation with. At my college I was a member of NABA (National Association of Black Accountants) and the org regularly had scholarships available ranging from $2k-$4k. Usually there was a GPA requirement and an essay that had to written about what NABA meant to you. Side note: NABA is now more than just accounting. It now represents a spectrum across financial services: banking, insurance, consulting etc.
Thanks I'll look into it. I also have one more question.

Im an accounting major with 12 classes after this semester.I am recent transfer so only 4 classes count towards my gpa.
Is it posible to find a internship with a low 3 gpa?
I got a hr internship through a family friend and dont want to go back to bussing tables
I'd say you want to try and work with the end goal in mind. What would you like to do with you Math degree? What do other people do with their Math degree? Any internship/externship opportunities?
Any research programs that your school can get you in to etc.
Math is probably the most marketable and competitive major there is. You can do anything with Math but you do need to try and get some experience to spearhead your career. What do I mean by that?
A math major with internship experience in finance (banking, accounting etc) signifies to potential employers an interest in finance
A math major with research experience may give you preparation for a career in higher ed/research etc.
Just some tidbits. Let me know if you have any other questions.
I believe in waiting at least a year (for a 18 year old at least) before going to college. My sister is in her first semester at 18 and its not looking good She rather party than study in a competitive field. If someone has the right mind set then its on them.Currently approaching the end of my first semester in college. I'm on track to get 4 A's but I'm not sure what grade I'm going to get in my math class Even if its the easiest math course they teach, I've never been good at math Got a 91 in it right now, I'll just try to stay the course and hope for the best.
On a random note, it's a good thing I didn't go to college straight out of high school. I'm pretty focused and motivated now, but I can easily see myself failing out if I was 18. All these professors who give you all this work and don't act like you have other classes

Preciate it. Same to you. The good thing is, the Math finals don't seem that hard if its going to be like the questions we got on the practice finals I'm still not sure if I can squeak out a A, but at least its a possibility at this point.Oh and good luck on finals brehs!!! just a couple more days till the suffering is over
my brain is a mixure of atm
