:patrice:3 Weeks to vote. C'mon breh we need more than a week to discuss the final list.

These brehs should know by now how it goes. :smugdraper:2 weeks to get your list together.

I can change it..but the horror thread went until the 20th and he posted it like the 25th i think

edit: he posted it the 21st.. i put mine to the 20th as well. 2 weeks wasn't enough for me personally to catch up on the Action thread

Rear Window

good shyt breh.

Rear window just missed my cut. I don't love it as much as some of his others. and I had night of the hunter in there, but changed it for LA at the last minute. That ending really brings it down a notch for me regardless of circumstance.. but dat mitchum performance :wow:

good shyt on our gawdess audrey.. i had read about THAT scene in an ebert review and it still made me jump when it happened :heh:

That scene is awesome breh. And I needed to put Third Man and From Russia with love on the list because I had to get some spy movies on my list which are, to me, always the most thrilling and suspenseful when done right. Almost put Casino Royale on their but it didn't quite make the cut.

1. Rear Window
2. Se7en
3. Mystic River
4. Moon
5. Fargo
6. Primal Fear
7. Fight Club
8. Reservoir Dogs
9. Secret Window
10. Who Framed Roger Rabbit

Nice outside of the box pic breh. I almost put Big Lebowski on my list and I was thinking about Fight Club

@MartyMcFly Can you switch out your gif for Rear Window to this one

RearWindow1954.gif

:russ: almost went with it but I couldn't find the one I really wanted anyway so I just went with him looking calm and dapper

And just like that, I made a switch. From Russia With Love is top 5 to me, so Night of the hunter hit number 10:whoknows:

Big lebowski doesn't give me thriller/suspense vibes at all.. just a dramedy.. I just picked up the digibook with ultraviolet a few weeks ago

I like the strong presence of noir on your list

Some of the plots are so convoluted though that I can't make full sense of em off first viewing and just dig the overall noir-ishness of em :manny:

Noir's are my shyt man. I like living in those worlds in a movie or tv show or book. The antihero, the world where the rules are kinda inverted but they all make sense to the people who live in them, you're never too sure who to trust, but in the end, good prevails. always. From Russia with Love is probably the best Bond movie ever (although I go back and forth on that and Casino Royale) and what makes it work, is that Bond is really outwitted from the beginning and is playing catch up in an old fashioned spy plot. There are double-crosses, twists, and good old fashioned espionage. Even has a fight on a train

Too hard.

Thrillers are different from mysteries/noir as far as I'm concerned....at least as far as lists like this go. The Wages of Fear is fukking incredible, but it's not for this list. Psycho is more of a mystery, but it was on my horror list, so it's out too.

I'll post a starter list in the next day.
