@Stormbreaker I ended up skipping on getting a full-range of dress clothes now. I got some weight I need to lose so I'll wait until I drop some pounds before I get new dress clothes. I'm very likely going to take another trip home in early May and then I'll pull the trigger on the bespoke dress clothes.

It's tough when you're not at a stable weight. You have to buy things piece meal. I was bigger before in the past and all the nice clothes I had I had to donate away. Right now, I want to build from the bottom up. Start with shoes and go from there.

I also need to get better with shopping. Getting better at using sites like eBay and finding niche boutiques.

Shoes are the foundation of your wardrobe breh. Also yeah just shop for things that are within your range and fit to your proportions. It's a pain in the ass to buy new clothes when you get bigger or smaller.

I do browse eBay frequently but it takes patience and sometimes you may find something you like that's unexpected. I've found some shoes that way also.

Can't wait to see what you find. :salute:

So I had to return the BR tweed car coat number but I always kept my eye of this double-breasted coat. Yesterday, with all the discounts, I pulled the trigger...

Tried on it and realized that I could dress up or down with this thing. :ohlawd:

Should be here this week. Just in time for me to murder youngins out here on these DC skreets.:smugdraper:

Edit: I see that I posted on this late last year. I guess it was time for the pickup.

So....I've own the coat for almost 2 weeks. Worn it once.

:patrice:Thinking about returning it as I see it would get limited burn.

Talk me out of it brehs.:wow:

Give me some outfit ideas....

So you don't think it's versatile? I'm sure it only works for certain outfits but when you rock it does it hit?! Does it give you that confidence and that edge when you wear it?

Versatility is what I think is missing here. It fits well. No complaints there. I did get compliments from these older ladies......

....who likened it to Steve Harvey's style.:martin::to:

I mean I think it's a dope jacket. You should find some inspiration pics on how to rock it maybe?

My Bespoke suit is finished and I finally picked it up.

I ended up getting a three piece suit with Huddersfield (English mill, owns The Rake Magazine) fabric.

The goal was to get something classic and timeless that fits. I will say that when I put this on it felt right on point to my measurements. You will also note the 4" notch lapel (most RTW suits have a 3.5" - 4" lapel). I was frankly concerned on how it would look on me but given my proportions it actually accentuates my chest and shoulders a lot without throwing things off. The pick stitching is also present which is a marking of a high quality suit.

The suit has a light canvas between the fabric so it's lightweight. I also decided to go with light shoulder padding to accentuate what I already have naturally and what I've worked for in the gym.

Waistcoat. If I could do it all over again I'd probably make some slight changes to the waistcoat such as making it 5 buttons instead of four but overall I'm satisfied with it.

This highlights more of the lining. My girlfriend helped pick this out! Royal purple with a world map view.

Some details on the pants. I opted for side tabs instead of belt loops. Frankly you don't need a belt if your suit is Bespoke or MTM because it should fit perfectly on your waist. This does.

I also got a small coin pocket on my pants as well. 2" cuffs. I'm 6'1'' and they sit nicely on the bottom of my shoes. They also add weight to the pants to drape a bit for the pleats.

Sorry for the potato pic but I'm trying to show off the single pleats here. The single pleats offer me extra room in my legs and thighs though in hindsight I didn't necessarily need them since these pants fit great. They do hide any sort of stuff I put in my pockets though and they don't make the pants or the entire silhouette of the suit any less rakish.

I certainly think I will end up making more suits with him and maybe shirts, jackets, etc. I was in need of a new navy suit since my Suitsupply one was too damn tight on me and having a more athletic build it's hard to fit me.
How much did it cost you? Did they have to make more adjustments after measuring you the first time?

Sorry missed this. It was around $2000 for me.

He didn't make any adjustments for me after but once I got it we looked it over together and it looked solid.

I REALLY want to do a more basted fit where they put the incomplete canvas on you and do multiple fittings with another tailor eventually but I'm satisfied with the result.

Being that it's fully canvassed it drapes really well on your body and the more I've worn it the more it molds to my body.
