Bought Dressing The Man when I first entered the workforce. Plenty of jewels: texture, shades, silhouettes, etc.:ohlawd:

I was watching Style OG and another YouTuber and these three came up. I put them on my wish list and got them! I like classic menswear but I'd like to find a resource on more streetwear but I'm always down to learn more on my style journey.

Merry Christmas breh!

Saw these the other day.

I love they applied another piece of leather to hide the stitching of the sole. This you see in a lot of higher end brands.

I was surprised I liked it because I sold my Allen Edmonds Strands over 4 years ago and I feel the styling and broughing is something I see on a lot of dress shoes when I'm in the city. It appears very boring to me.

BUT with these they actually brogue it slightly different and add some beautiful burnishing which sets it apart. I know my size and when I tried them on they fit like a glove. I don't need them but I'll keep them on my list :patrice:

This is why I love eBay. I found a Black Captoe Balmoral in my size for $200. The guy only wore them once and after inspecting them I believe he did.

These suckers retail for $650 so this is a steal. I just needed them just in case for black tie stiff and to replace my beater ones.

So I had to return the BR tweed car coat number but I always kept my eye of this double-breasted coat. Yesterday, with all the discounts, I pulled the trigger...

Tried on it and realized that I could dress up or down with this thing. :ohlawd:

Should be here this week. Just in time for me to murder youngins out here on these DC skreets.:smugdraper:

Edit: I see that I posted on this late last year. I guess it was time for the pickup.

Almost bought this yesterday but slacked on it.

Would rock with a long-sleeve white crewneck tshirt, dark denim and simple black/white chucks. Nothing flashy. :ohlawd:

My Bespoke suit is finished and I finally picked it up.

I ended up getting a three piece suit with Huddersfield (English mill, owns The Rake Magazine) fabric.

The goal was to get something classic and timeless that fits. I will say that when I put this on it felt right on point to my measurements. You will also note the 4" notch lapel (most RTW suits have a 3.5" - 4" lapel). I was frankly concerned on how it would look on me but given my proportions it actually accentuates my chest and shoulders a lot without throwing things off. The pick stitching is also present which is a marking of a high quality suit.

The suit has a light canvas between the fabric so it's lightweight. I also decided to go with light shoulder padding to accentuate what I already have naturally and what I've worked for in the gym.

Waistcoat. If I could do it all over again I'd probably make some slight changes to the waistcoat such as making it 5 buttons instead of four but overall I'm satisfied with it.

This highlights more of the lining. My girlfriend helped pick this out! Royal purple with a world map view.

Some details on the pants. I opted for side tabs instead of belt loops. Frankly you don't need a belt if your suit is Bespoke or MTM because it should fit perfectly on your waist. This does.

I also got a small coin pocket on my pants as well. 2" cuffs. I'm 6'1'' and they sit nicely on the bottom of my shoes. They also add weight to the pants to drape a bit for the pleats.

Sorry for the potato pic but I'm trying to show off the single pleats here. The single pleats offer me extra room in my legs and thighs though in hindsight I didn't necessarily need them since these pants fit great. They do hide any sort of stuff I put in my pockets though and they don't make the pants or the entire silhouette of the suit any less rakish.

I certainly think I will end up making more suits with him and maybe shirts, jackets, etc. I was in need of a new navy suit since my Suitsupply one was too damn tight on me and having a more athletic build it's hard to fit me.
