I forgot to add some key elements. What if you have no credit history (no credit card)...I havent checked the sites out but ill give it a try

prosper.com checks credit and i would guess other sources do to, its not just about credit its about checking your identity

so i would start on my credit right away if i was you, try to get a secured card right away and sign up at http://creditkarma.com
