I liked the "first two films," but, I refuse to watch this one.
This smells like the new Hollywood hustle.
Make a hit and go to the spec script bin, rework it and make it a pseudo sequel in a pseudo universe. Or, sell otherwise flops by connecting it to a series.
I didn't realize they got the scripts for these last two (The Cellar, The God Particle) at the same time basically
(Around 16 mins he talks about how Paradox got Cloverfield'd during production)

Nah I understand completely and maybe if this was its own standalone movie without them trying to add clover fields brand it would have fared better. With this film it was obvious that they brought the film and tried to add clover field to it after the factI did like 10 cloverfield lane
