The Hollywood Reporter was the first outlet to report specifics about one of the alleged incidents. A source told THR that several actresses on The Chi had issues with Mitchell, including co-star Tiffany Boone, who plays Jerrika, the girlfriend to his character, Brandon. The report says: "A source with knowledge of the Showtime series says Tiffany Boone, who played Mitchell’s girlfriend on The Chi, was among several actresses on the series who had issues with Mitchell. She made repeated complaints of sexual harassment and allegedly felt so unsafe with her co-star that at times her fiance, Dear White People actor Marque Richardson, came to set when she shot scenes with him. Boone declined to comment. The source also says Boone ultimately informed producers at Fox 21 that she could no longer work with Mitchell. Initially, he was retained while she was released at her request to pursue other projects. Other actresses on the series also were said to have had problems with Mitchell. It’s unclear what finally led the studio to act."

I think this is the nail in the coffin for this show. They can try a season without him but it wont be the same and will just fail so at that point why bother.

They were really finding a groove with this show too so this fukking sucks. Breh also had a decent if not great acting career ahead of him cause he did a pretty good job with that role.

Show will suffer without him, but spend more time with reg and crew, emmit, the kids, maybe make the police a bigger storyline and introduce a new character...and get rid of Ronnie they might make it. But I havent really liked this season so I’m indifferent to where it goes without him

Brandon is a HUGE fukkin loss smh, not just for the show but for legit talented hood nikkas like him, i love to see nikkas like me do big things, dude coulda been huge in black Hollywood. Dude had to be an intolerable savage to be dropped from EVERYTHING .

He has a positive connection to almost every character in the show. Season 3 will likely start off as his funeral or something and it will likely be the last season.

They either replace him or they have to beef up existing storylines/introduce new ones. This show hasn’t done a good job with multi story storytelling IMO, so I’d rather they work with what they have. The police are already there, and no one wants more fukkboi Ronnie
