I wanna complain about the heavy handed LGBT shyt, but if that’s the storyteller Lena is, then it’s on me to decide if her stories are for me. It’s weird because I truly don’t have issues with LGBT inclusion, but almost every storyline is tied back to it, I don’t need to be beat over the head with it to “get it”.

Don’t like how beta all the males are - Kevin getting punks hard by Nina Simone jr, poppa been a simp, the tranny be low key punking trig...and when not being fully beta, they’re overtly oversexualized - tia’s husband, emmet, emmet’s daddy.

Moving on, how the hell you having romantic, passionate sex in your momma’s living room? I’m sorry, that’s that you need your own place type shyt.

they really gonna be finding latoya all season? I’d rather them have had that body be her, it would’ve been a key plot point to move various characters forward.

But more glaring than this being a LOGO network show is the storytelling, these writers literally don’t know shyt about plot advancement, reality tv is scripted better than this. this series feels like just pulling up to a neighborhood, sitting in your car and people watching. Maybe something interesting happens one day, but it’s mostly day in day out bullshyt.

It seems many of you only like "hood shiit". This episode was really good. Kevin's girl is good for him. Honestly she's just a richer, more refined version of Myisha. Both trying to help Kev better himself. As far as the gay agenda the wire had two fan favorite super goons who were gay, plus a gay cop and noone seemed to care, but everyone seems to be outraged with this show.

First of all, having people be gay and making the show revolve around queer storylines in almost every character set is not the same. Secondly, anyone comparing the art that was the wire to this bullshyt is :camby: maybe people wouldn’t be as annoyed by it if this show had half the writing talent, acting ability and storytelling the wire had :childplease:

if anything, Omar is how you masterfully build a character, so much so that him being gay actually makes him more interesting and compelling

The show doesn't revolve around gay storylines. None of the shiit about gayness is even mentioned. The mom been gay since season 1. The transgender female wasn't even in the episode and only in one episode was it even mentioned. A dike running for mayor so what? Gayness is not at the forefront. You acting like Kima and her wife wasn't on the wire. Like Omar wasn't a homothug, and that Snoop wasn't a murderous dike. Gay is gay. But like I said you guys just like "ghetto shyt".

I have no idea how you could’ve read any of the previous posts and come up with this conclusion. It’s like you were in another thread or something
