Told myself I was done with this show after last season and hearing about the changes/firings.
COVID had me give it a chance, but nah I’m out. It’s dangerous as hell that people like Lena get such a platform. Pushing too much bs. Not just the gay/tranny shyt, but the over sexualization of Black folks.
And to top it off, the writing is beyond trash.

Kiesha being fast is cool narratively, but then Emmitt’s girl recommending an escort to his mom and LaLa asking to see Emmitt’s dikk out the blue. The worst part of the gay shyt was making Luke James character into the bad guy for simply turning dude’s advances down. This shyt is clearly coming from a very demented mind.
And to top it off, the writing is beyond trash.

Yea that was weak.
They weren’t principled enough to fire/discipline him when Jerrica reported it, then they pull this petty shyt after the fact which undercut his entire character arc. Brandon was portrayed as a good dude the entire series. Lala randomly shytting on him was petty, stupid, and all too transparent.

There’s already reservations about her being added to the cast and now with her weird introduction and disrespect towards Brandon. Just seems forced and off. With her rep being talented in the kitchen, maybe she and Brandon crossed paths in the past and it was unpleasant.
BTW, it will not surprise me that we will not have a resolution on Brandon’s death until the last episode. They are going drag that shyt along with the possible kidnapping/disappearance.
