i've always hated jemma, but this show, as usually, 180's the fukk outta people and makes them worse. her dad was a very in control, highly connected power player who has turned into some white beta dad, nikkas aint been the same since mayor douda beat him within two inches of his life. and i still don't know how gemma went from harvard bound angela davis to jake's first baby momma. and how the hell did all the kids end up (back) in public school together
well papa and the chubby chick never left. kevin got expelled last season and I guess jake went back after he stopped living with douda. but gemma was never at their school, so why she's back in the hood school, I simply don't understand.

it really does not make any sort of logical sense that Maisha and Gemma are in the same classroom. I don’t think Gemmas father would be ok taking her out a prestigious private school (one they made a big deal about sending Kevin to) after that long speech about her getting into a Ivy League school.
Also why is it that when they were discussing music at the poker game that everyones generations were extremely out of sync? Darnell should have been the one talking about jodeci and early-mid 90’s R&B, thats when he started having all them kids.
Emmet should be at best talking about mid 2000’s, he’s supposed to be gen z. The ages are all over the place. They treat the emmet and Keisha’s actors in the show as their real ages.

I was asking myself the same question but I figured Jemma still went to the private school. I know when kids take the SATS, you'll have a mix of kids from different schools at the same testing site. At least that's how I rationalized it when I saw her and Maisha in the same classroom.
