Lena, and crew fumbled this show something horrible. If she wanted a show based around her agenda .. I think that’s what she should have went with from the beginning. It’s obvious they never had a clear idea of where they wanted the show to go beyond a certain point. It had potential but after season two it’s just been ..bad.

They could have ended this show in season 3.

Agreed. I don’t care about Trigs sexuality .. I just don’t and then there’s the kids .. none of it’s real life. .. it is but it’s not. I’ve noticed a pattern with “black shows” after a certain point they tend to run them into the ground NOT all but a lot. It’s ridiculous.

This show suffers from the fact they never wrote multiple storylines well and then had zero idea of how to move on from Brandon and Reg while Showtime kept renewing them. It’s like one of them needs to throw in the towel.

I wholeheartedly agree. I truly believe watching it that the lack of storylines, very little character growth, 3 steps being taken forward only to take 8 steps back is because it was never suppose to be about Chicago per se. It’s what she wanted/ considered Chicago to be. The show was realistic in the first two seasons now it’s just unbearable.

low-key I don't believe she knows how to write a black man with any redeeming qualities UNLESS he's a walking stereotype first then goes through a transition (All of the guys you listed, plus Emmett and his pops were/are reformed deadbeats)

You see they got baby Russell Westbrook off of there with the quickness since they didn't really know what to do with him
