Hurricanes also lack game breakers and elite scorers who can win games and close playoff series for them. They are deep, they built their team the right way(through the draft, from the back (defense and goaltending) but they haven’t found elite offensive talent in the draft, free agency or trade. Aho needs help. Scoring by committee is fine in the regular season but not in the playoffs.
Jets in the west and Hurricanes in the east. Both teams who are similar really.
Kuznetsov and guentzel are a good step in their right direction but they need to add more weapons on offense.

Special teams are dooming the Canes essentially. Rangers PP and PK have been elite all season and so far this playoffs. Canes PP has been terrible, lack of good puck and player movement and not getting quality chances.
As for the other game last night, Avs need to have better starts imo. They slept-walked through the 1st two periods and Stars took advantage. Can’t always comeback for 3-4 goal deficits to win despite their talent. Should be a great series either way, but they gotta clean that up.

Toronto made Swayman look like Superman. Florida is making him look Bat-Mite.
Marchand is done for the night. That hit he took in the first period must have had some lingering effects.
