One thing I look forward to watching is how Curry’s drives and finishes at the rim fare against AD’s rim protection

Both excel in these areas

And this was on display in both of their teams last games—AD was blocking and disrupting everything when Memphis tried to attack the basket and Steph was getting to the paint at will against the Kings and converting a variety of layups and floaters

Although Ja is a great finisher at the rim he’s not as smooth, savvy, and crafty as Steph is—will AD be as effective in slowing Steph’s scoring in the paint?

The Kings had nobody like AD guarding the paint —will Steph keep going to the hole undaunted?

One thing that worries me is that steph has historically been pretty mediocre against the lakers no matter who was on the team (kobe, bron, tanking years). I don't know what it is. Not sure what the actual stats are, but I wouldn't be surprised if his PPG and fg% vs. lakers are all below his career averages.
That’s reg season shyt.. he balled out im the play in against them in LA but Bron hit that dagger shot

Definite worry.

Inexplicable how he's always struggled against the Lakers.

This is gonna be one of those series' where the support cast is going to need to step up, especially given the Lakers have more points of attack than GS. They're going to need someone to match Rui, Dlo and Reaves whenever they get hot. This is a series where Poole has gotta earn his contract.

Dray better contain his lust for Bron long enough for us to get 4 wins. I don't wanna see no hugging or chatting with the enemy during timeouts.

:ufdup:

Having a bonafide Bronsexual on your squad while we play LA is quite the conundrum.

SMF and LAX to VA and NC
@murksiderock You sound real confident in the Lakers not examining that AD is real vulnerable injury wise and LeBron isn't 100 percent healthy. The series has 1 day rest in between games. If or when AD gets into foul trouble what line up will Ham play confidently knowing the Warriors can counter with small ball lineup which not impacts spacing but uncontested 3s? The Grizzlies are nothing similar to Warriors in terms of spacing, 3pt shooting and defensive line ups.

Coaching = Warriors
Depth= Warriors
Defense= Lakers
3pt shooting= Warriors
Battle tested= Warriors
Rebounding= Lakers
The Warriors only hit 32.8% of their threes vs Sac on 41 attempts/game. This was vs Sacramento's vaunted defense...

In comparison LA hit 31% of its threes on 35 attempts/game vs a better Memphis defense....

The disparity in shooting isn't as stark as we perceive it to be, this series will be about which role players are able to knock down their open shots...

San Francisco not getting the number of uncontested 3s in this series they just got vs Sacramento...

I’m not saying he should be guarding Steph,
I’m saying if he goes off for 50 I don’t think Lebron will be able to match that anymore. It’s all on AD to be the leading scorer in this series
Bron and the lakers have historically given Steph problems. Rest assured they know to be very Physical with him and blitz/Double the shyt out of him when applicable. It'l be up to Golden state's roleplayers to step up for them to have a chance to win. This isn't the king's defense... he wont be able to hero ball to a victory.

Steve Kerr is a Coach of the Year and Klay, Wiggins, Draymond, Poole, Looney, Donte, Payton, Kuminga is not a bad supporting cast. Wild framing.

The difference between this series and last series is that Warriors can run up the scoreboard no matter how well AD is playing defense inside. Memphis couldn't hit threes, Golden State can.

I think Golden State will be fine offensively, so the bigger questions are with the Lakers' offense.

* Is Bron anywhere near 100% or is his foot still limiting him? Will he be able to give an efficient 24-8-8, or will his shooting struggles continue?

* Can AD enforce his will offensively on a consistent basis, or will he be the guy who scored just 13, 12, and 16 in three games last series?

* Can D-Lo, Reaves, and Rui hit from outside reliably? Will Schroder, Beasley, Brown, and Vandy be able to hit enough open shots to even be playable?

If Bron and AD are at even 90% and the role players make open shots, Lakers will win. But if either Bron or AD are more seriously limited, or if the role players can't make shots, then Golden State is coming away with this.
It’s not wild. It took something that hasn’t happened ever (Steph scoring 50 in a game 7) to beat an inexperienced Kings roster. The Warriors are only as good as Steph Curry makes them. And that’s how it’s been since 2020.

Kuminga can’t get off the bench, Divencenzo hasn’t been playing at a level close to Reaves, and Klay, Poole, and Draymond have been average at best for the majority of the playoffs. Wiggins is a wildcard. Looney is consistent but against AD it’ll be a different story.

The Lakers aren’t much better, but the confidence they are starting to show makes them a threat. I do agree that health is the biggest concern for them. Steph is the best player in the series, but the two next best are head and shoulders above anyone on the Warriors roster.

You know Klay will have a “turn back the clock” game or 2 and that’s when it can get ugly if the Lakers can’t make a shot. Entire series is a toss up for me at this point.

He has averaged 21 points vs the Lakers. 34% from three. It's bizarre.

He always seems to struggle against them for some strange reason. He often play wells against the Clippers in LA but it's a different story against the Lakers.

Somebody should let The Chef know this. Could be random, or could be a thing.

Regardless, he feeds off of vindication and proving doubters wrong.

Maybe tag some of the Dubs reporters on Twatter so they can ask him.
