The Warriors' Achilles heel this season has been their transition defense, and we saw that be exposed by the Kings throughout the 1st round (*looking at you Poole*), struggling at times to keep up with the pace that Sac were playing at. The pace of this series will be more to their liking, especially coming off a seven-game series.

Key for the Lakers is definitely going to be dominating in the paint because they'll be fighting an uphill battle if it gets into a shootout.

They were 14th out of 30 post trade …so mediocre at best …still not touching the Kings …the Lakers win because of defense
14th out of 30 with Bron out the lineup for a large majority of those games.. they def are winning based off their defense, but like I stated that are a good offensive team.

Nah I disagree. One of the biggest element of the Kings offense in the reg season revolved around the Sabonis and KHurt 2 man game, and both were absolutely fukking terrible. All time bad performances.
Ok … that’s great ..that still doesn’t make the Lakers a better offense
We’ll have to see how well the Warriors contain an actual offense without 2 throwers on the court at all time.
And we’ll have to see how well the Lakers hold up against a team that can actually shoot and make them pay for their offensive droughts that they’re known to have … “the others” Reaves,Dlo,Hachi have got to deliver this series

Right but going to 7 with a young Kings team that has 0 playoff experience is supposed to be some badge of honor.
It isn't, but my comparison is on who the Lakers are dealing with, which leaves out Sac. Grizzlies vs Warriors...the Grizzlies don't have the Warriors pedigree so citing them letting LA blow them out doesn't necessarily project the Lakers success in this series.
Memphis and Sacramento can be compared though and the Lakers were more impressive than the Warriors in that sense. I think his point is valid in that the lakers are being underrated not that their performance is transferrable identically vs the warriors
The Lakers are being underrated, but styles make fights and pedigree is meeting pedigree here so using the feat of blowing out Memphis isn't really a good indicator to me. 08 Celtics let the Hawks take them to 7 but embarrassingly knocked out a chip-ready Lakers in a Game 6, making their tug of war with an inferior team a footnote.

You can put that down to the Warriors defense.

Sabonis got shut down for almost the entirety of the series. GS had the personnel and constantly made the right adjustments to nullify him. I expect given the Lakers' lack of shooting they'll implement a similar gameplan that they did on Sabonis (where they played off him and made him shoot from the perimeter).

They rank 10th out of 16 in offense in these playoffs with LeBron :manny: Don’t know why you’re insisting on this point man… it’s ok ..they’re a really good defensive team they don’t have to be great at everything but playing against a team that can score will be a good stress test for them

I agree

I think it's a good indicator that the Lakers are a strong team in the vein of a 1-3 seed and not definitively predictive of success vs Golden St.

I do think the Lakers are appearing to be a threat to go to the Finals with a chance to win it all though..and a lot of that is how they looked at the end of the season and vs Memphis

I think they are closer to that level of performance than a regression to what they were before the trade deadline
