I think a truly underrated part of the fight was Holm was really impressive grappling and looked to be physically stronger than Rousey
The KEY to her preventing the Rousey comeback was her escaping those grips and that headlock....but Ronda had already SPENT TOO MUCH energy trying to bum rush and throw hands at that point. It was insanity to try to throw with a 19x Champion boxer. It just didn't make any fukking sense.

Holm has been in striking arts for a lot longer which gave her the advantage over Ronda. I was merely stating it is too late in the game for Ronda to become a formidable striker based on her age and damage accrued from her previous Judo and MMA experience.
I'm going to have to respectfully disagree with the notion Judo isn't a fighting sport, sure there aren't strikes, but the concussive effects are devastating and it is an effective form of combat. I will however concede that striking arts such as Muay Thai, Western Boxing, and Kickboxing practitioners have a higher threshold for damage and destruction. In MMA you can't rely on one signature move or style for very long and Ronda was very lucky to have cans for most of her championship run. Ronda is just another version of Karo Payrisian and was fortunate enough to live in the NFC-East of the UFC.
You are correct about Silva, MMA is Darwinism at its finest, sink, swim, or Bellator it out of there....
It's amazing what makeup and lighting can do. In the ring she looks terrible, but with the makeup, lighting, hair done, she looks fairly attractive. Taking her home will have you like
